Well, the first game I ever remember playing was Descent on my dad's 2 color lap top. Boy, those where the days. I was in Kindergarden. By first grade, I had bought my first computer, an 85 mhz Acer, and with it, a collection of games, the only two which remain being Command something, a turn based WW2 game, and, Darklands which I did not understand at the time but would, within the decade be one of my favorites of all time.
I also remember a 2D action game where you flew a futuresque airplane or starship. It was really cool. Any suggestions as to what this may be?
However, one of my most memorable times was in 2nd Grade. My father's computer at work was alot better then our current one, so one weekend my dad invited me to install a few games on his computer. So, I took Command Aces of the Deep. At the time I had just watched Das Boot, and had an obsession with U-Boats, so the fact that it did not work on my Acer drove me to his office.
I just started playing it again. Damn, this game is great - http://www.the-underdogs.org/game.php?id=2567
