Fixing Fallout 3's colour palette

I didn't really realise how bad the Fallout 3 colour palette is, until I spotted this (via BGSF)

Examples:

Don't tell me that don't look a whole lot better. Other than "the sky should be darker", the whole green-ish hue doesn't really help anything

When it comes to Nuclear shit, it's green.

Green = Radiation

The green is just wrong, it's not even the green typically used in Fallout, green is wrong and it's the wrong green. Damn.

I would actually prefer the shitty NEX GEENNNNNNN brown to this green, I hate this stupid green so much.

Well, it looks like it should be fairly easy in fixing, maybe through a patch or mod.

Well, from what we've seen now, the game isn't consistently green. There's some greenery:

And some non-greenery:

And some shots where greenery is evident but not overwhelming:

Generally it seems that yellow sun glare combats the green mist. Maybe this is one of the ways they make settlements unique: each part of the map has its own level of greenness, indicating doom.

Like radiation or even a power armors visor with glare protection?

In that case it wouldn't (shouldn't) be visible from the shouldercam, especially not when the character is seen without headwear.

Isn't the gree hue part of some day-night cycle?
Like: at dusk and at dawn everything looks greener, but in the afternoon, when the sun is out, the world kinda sorta looks pretty much normal?
I'm just guessing, really...

It just looks like awful. They even use that stupid fucking green for the Pipboy interface, goddammit.

Maybe they ran out of places to put pixel shaders, so they started putting them in the air.

Adjust your screen colors to fix it lol can't think of any other easy solution
