That's actually a really bad suggestion. Nehe is horribly outdated and shouldn't be used as reference to get started in OpenGL anymore nowadays.

I suggested it not like source of OpenGL tutorials, but engine tutorials, since visualisation is not a problem here.

UPDATE
I now have it working so I can login into my server and enter the game.

I am in the process of simplifying and redesigning the server . Once that is finished I am going to port as much of the game as I can to the server and then after that i can focus on the game itself again.

By friday I will be looking for people to play the game for a short test of things.

There seems to be a loss of interest in my project by people. If it helps I tested out multiplayer today and it worked.

I think there are a lot of people watching this topic, Prosper. Don't dismay!

If you put up some new screens or something to try out, I'm sure you will find a full page (or two) of replies to answer. :)

I put up a new video on the 15th and no one posted...
... i probably need to release something that people can try out before i should expect any commentary.

Just so everyone knows, my game is capable of supporting multiple players. In the latest video the player start off in the corner, but i managed to correct that. i also have fixed the problem with names not showing correctly. But I did these fixes right after the latest video release.

I haven't done any work for the past 2 days. But today I am going to start again.

Advice: post your updates not only on the original post but at the end of the thread as well (if some of the people checking this forum are as lazy as i am sometimes then they will only check the last added post to the thread :P )

Good thinking, you should also try to add a bit of "context" (some floors, scenery, whatever), and some "purpose" (like, moving the critter from point A to point B through a couple of doors, or dodging some boxes or whatever, yes?)

Good luck. :)
