"Game Dev Shitlists"

So is Sheppard the main protagonist again or (Mass Effect 3 and Max Payne 2 ending details below)

Are they leaving him dead? If they are, it reminds me of Max Payne 2 wherein after you beat the game on the highest difficulty you get a secret addition to the main ending where you see Max's girlfriend actually survives instead of dying like in all the other endings, but then it gets retconned in the 3rd game and she's not mentioned period. I hope they don't go with that, I hate games that bring a character back to life in some "secret ending" and then it's never addressed in sequels

No, they're doing a total cop-out. The events of Andromeda occur 1 year before the final showdown with the Reapers - so Shepherd is still alive. Different protag, etc.

New Mass Effect shoves into our hands white protagonists for an adventure of exploring the new galaxy, and Bioware still holds in staff that hate bubbling shovelhead. So... Main quest is going to turn into a cuckold for main protagonist or what? IDK what to expect from Bioware at this point.

Na, it's a different protagonist entirely. The expedition leaves before ME3 (and somehow Shepard never learns of it) and arrives 600 years later in Andromeda. They're also doing the DA2 thing where the protagonist has a family running around with them; the father is a fixed character, and whatever gender you don't select will end up as an NPC in the game, as your sibling. Here's hoping they don't just kill them for shock value.

As for me, at this point I'd say Ubisoft and Activision are the only ones I just straight up boycott. The latter for obvious reasons, the former because of the complete and total creative sterility that runs rampant in their games. If you've played one Ubisoft game since AC2 came out, you've basically played all their offerings since then.

But I mostly look at games before I decide, anyway.

EA after EA got it's grubby mitts on bioware their games have gone downhill. The shitstorm that was mass effect 3's ending causing the greatest chimp outs in gaming history that even EA and bioware could not ignore thus the extended cut was born. I love how bioware's tag line is choices matter lololol when bitch? Dragon age 2 what a turd and a disgrace to the original. It was a rushed game. EA only gave them 2 yrs while dragon age origins had 4 yrs of development. When will EA learn to stop pushing unfinished games out the door.I don't boycott video game publishers. I definitely don't private shit either I don't want to risk getting banned losing my steam, psn accounts. I usually wait for reviews or playthroughs to judge if a game's worth buying if it's something I am a huge fan of. TLDR fuck bethesda

I don't really have a shitdev list.

If a franchise don't suit me, i don't play it, or i stop playing it once it bores me. So i am mostly looking for good IP or dev, and throw away what i don't like, focusing on what i like.

Although, i would say Beth as a devellopper (some gems might accidentaly come of the Beth publisher), because of what they did to Fallout and their own IP (TES). If the IP core values didn't suit their needs, i don't see why they troubled themselves getting it. Everyone has their own taste. There is nothing wrong doing the games they do. Just don't take hostage an IP that would do wonder without you. You don't want to make a Fallout game, just buy another IP that suit you more.

Blizzard. I don't intend to be forced to be online on Battle.net to play a single player game. If i bought it, i should be able to play the game any time i want, not just when both my computer and your server are onlines. Regardless of the merits of their new instalments, that company is dead for me.

Also, it has been five years or more that i am tired of the continuous gameworld trend. Not only people should have a choice of kind of gameworld they want to play in, not have everyone selling them the same package on a different landscape, but also, current way of doing it just sucks. (amongs other things, word building not always meaningfull, the locations and distances are usually too small to be believable, there is too much fillers, there is an issue about genericness, you cannot believably have all kind of weathers and culture at walking distance, fast travel teleportation etc...)
