Games you couldn't finish and why

Skyrim
I never finished the main quest, got lost along the way when i installed mods

Minecraft

Played it with friends, once we decided to actually finish it, but again got distracted by building random stuff and eventually lost interest.

Northland
An old (the settlers?) game, played it around 10 years ago, got a copy not long ago but still didint finish it, just don't feel like it

Postal 2
Played it to the third day i think, feeling the itch to finish it some time soon

I mostly played the mods to Rome - Total War the original, with full difficulty it's not that easy to steamroll. Btw, how far could you play the game? I mean, at some point the game just ends, right? Don't think I ever got that far.

There's victory conditions for each faction, so for Rome you had to conquer parts of Greece, North Africa, Gaul and Iberia. Conquering the entire map would yield you an achievement and nothing else.

There's lots of games I didn't finish (for a reason or two) despite having a good time with them, but I'll just put those up that I quitted.

Dragon Age: Origins. The trashmobs in the Deep Roads killed it for me.

Fallout 4. I made the mistake to give it a chance when it was on sale for under 20€, but I can't even get past Concord before feeling boredom induced numbness starting to flow upwards from my hands. Steam says I have around 2 hours in and I'm about to uninstall. Money well wasted, 10 points and a parrot pin for me.

Skyrim. There's that certain wall that appears after a certain amount of hours when you notice you aren't and haven't been doing anything differently from 20 hours ago nor encountered anything that'd stick to your mind despite the humonguns amount of content. The game lacks real incentives for people that are not simply looking for repetitive quest-/skillgrind.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. Quit out of boredom after returning to Praque from the... what ever the name was for that town in shambles. There's no drive to that game. Like at all.

Divinity: Original Sin. The game kind of stopped after Cyseal. I do plan to give it another go at some point though, the Enhanced Edition made some much needed fixes, or so I hear.

Planescape: Torment - I HATE THE COMBAT IN THIS FUCKING GAME. Even though it has some of the best C&C, story, NPC's, world design, it still has the worst combat I have ever played in a turn based game. When I say I have tried numerous times to play this game, I mean it. I end up staring at brown and grey corridors for hours fighting wraiths wondering why I can't git gud.

Decrease the game's difficulty in the options menu.

bf1, dragon age inquistion, cod infinite warfare, sleeping dogs, solus project, pretty much all vr games. idk if its just me getting older but these newer games are just boring as fuck to me even like the witcher 3 i have to force my self to play even though it is good... the only thing that gets me through the games is multitasking like watching shows or youtube on my tv

its not even that bad. the combat was never a problem for me.
The original Dead Space was the former. I couldn't beat the turret section.
yes i remember that being dispraportionaly more difficult than the rest of the game. ive never quit a game because it was difficult though. usually its because it sucks (fallout4) or i just somehow lose the ability to play the game or just lose access to it.

Most people agree the combat was meh. Just unfun
this may sound wierd but that game was too good for me to give a shit about the cpmbat or the gameplay. i don't think planescape torment would've benefited from an improvedd combat system all that much tbh. also.. i kinda like the combat.
