General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

I had to do that after hitting a brick wall, I made a sneaky sniper with pickpocket. I pickpocketed over 500 rounds of 7.62, 8.6, and 9mm ammo. I recommend that skill for sure.

I'm specializing in psi, lockpicking, hacking, and assorted crafting related skills, but a jack of trades is a bad idea in this game.

I'm not. Lockpicking, stealth, hacking, and pickpocketing go with my stealth character.

What combat skills are you using? I am focusing on guns but I have points in the rest. Crossbows are useful with such a wide variety of bolts. Useful for disabling people quickly, especially with nets as a backup.

Just guns for sniper rifles so I can take out enemies from far away with massive damage, inflicted 140 points of mechanical damage to a junkyard mutie with a sniper and that was only one shot. I don't care for crossbows as you're screwed when facing up against armored enemies and short range is a joke with them(faced enough crossbow using enemies at point blank that couldn't hit to save their lives).

Decided to start my witcher playtrough and i've only played for an hour or 2 but damn Witcher 1 is slow and boring so far. Unless things picks up soon i might just give up on the first game at least.

I got to the first boss before getting too bored to continue playing the game. I mean I wanted to enjoy it but I found it boring in the end.

Consortium? Has anyone tried that?

I know what it looks like - either a kid's game or a low-budget indie shooter. It's actually a pretty lore-heavy, sort-of meta, Deus Ex kind of game, on the Source engine. Check it out if you like that sort of thing. It's pretty short for its price but its a lot more complex than it looks. Also, I haven't got very far in it but I heard there's some pretty heavy elements of choice and consequence in it.

Wich boss? Been a few "bosses" that i won't really call bosses. But the first real boss AKA the hell hound was so badly made it made me actually rage.

Ohh well chapter 1 "?" done.. Not sure if i can be arsed with this but i gotta try.

Well I thought it was a boss but that Savolla guy, I'm just not very good at the combat at that game nor do I like it very much but maybe that's just me.

The witcher is done! Sadly i missed to complete 1 quest.. That i know off! And 2 books where not to be seen wich resulted in me missing a minor "give me item" quest and not being able to brew health potions.. But the game was rather easy anyways so no big loss.

I did have to reloade previous saves a few times but after looking around i might just have everything like i wanted for TW2 and i'm so happy i didn't remove the game before noticing the import save option :P

Also noticed one of my old but gold games called Warlords battlecry 3 is on steam now but sadly it is using a fan made patch that MAY have some changes i disslike.. But it is supposed to stop a lot of crashing etc wich plagued the game for me!
Going to buy it tomorrow toggether with the new Tomb raider i guess.

Been playing Pillars of Eternity for a few days now. I can't stick to just one game for long periods of time.

Pillars of Eternity seems pretty nice, so far.

Bought a bunch of cheap games on the steam winter sale. Currently plyaing one of them; Pillars of Eternity - 43 hours in and it seems like there is still a bunch of things to do. It's a great game in terms of content and writing. The combat is growing on me too, as i'm getting to higher levels and can actually engage in many more tactical decisions than at the start of the game. Obsidian just keeps on delivering games that i like.

I also bought Wasteland 2, but it seems the intel irisi 6100 on my laptop is too ill equiped to deal with that game on any settings (excluding 1024x768 - i just cannot go that low), i can't even reach 20 fps. Pillars of Eternity on the other hand, seems fine on high settings and 1080p.

Yeah, Pillars of Eternity is hella nice. Really falling for the universe they've created. Each and every quest so far has been pretty epic, and I'm still nowhere near the end of the game I think. I'm still sort of figuring out what works best against what foes, but I'll get there. Combat is not nearly as challenging as I was afraid it was going to be, though. Doing pretty well so far.
