Getting a dog

Well, this sucks. i used to have a dog called "Nero" (after the roman emperor) when i was a kid. He was a Mix of german shepherd and golden retriever. He let me ride on him when i was 1-2, and was all around nice dog. He lived to age of 10 years.
I cant get a big dog that sheds much anymore, my astma stops me from doing it, and the dander isnt good for me either. But my new meds have really helped this.

i could solve the dander problem by vacuuming like nuts and leaving the windows open.
Could you guys recommend a dog that is:

*small
*doesnt shed too much.
*is obedient
*is not aggressive

Awesome, intelligent, very aware, good alarm (not much of a fighter, though, just too short), good with kids and so damn cuute. Bloody fine to train, very obedient, only needs a daily walk.

Oh yeah, and they demand belly rubs.

Unless you really love bird hunting, do not get a english setter. They are all crazy!

i dont hunt.
i dont even own a rifle or a shotgun. Nor the necessary permits, or the lungs to hunt in winter.

i am checking on the corgi to find out more.
EDIT:
And  for the link.
i managed to find a REAL welsh corgi site, that actually has info, and is in finnish.

Bloody, bloody crazy! My tervueren just LOVES to chase a pair of those! :D:D:D

Patton, here's a good site for all you need to know about the corgi

Well I've had to give up on getting a dog on account of moving out of country and all but it's good to see the thread alive and well...

Go dogs!

personally, I like the idea of a good size dog that likes to play, doesn't get aggressive with family, is pretty smart, and is a chick magnet.

I would go with a Labrador Retriever, a Golden Retriever or a Yellow Lab.

Or a beagle.

Although my dream is still

New Guinea Singing Dogs are not only endangered, are related to wolves, are a type of pariah dog, but on full moons tend to sing "A louie, louie, oh Louie, we got go now... wo wo wo wo wo wo...."

which chicks dig.
