Girls request help through facebook...

This is sad news indeed.

Nothing like a double underage death to boost up ratings. There could've even been allegations of rape. It could have been so beautiful. Now this piece of news only proves yet again how gay Facebook is.

Here's another question, what the fuck do 10 and 12 year olds need cell phones for? This is the only type of situation that it would be at all reasonable for them to have a phone for and I'm sure that there are less expensive alternatives that would obviously work better (alert authorities rather than post on facebook). Course I also don't see why they would need facebook pages but I hate social networking sites in general.

When I was younger I saw two, ten or eleven year old boys, in full fubu sweat gear with headbands on talking on their cell phones and walking about with a swagger. I blame the parents.

As for the girl not knowing her local emergency number; well thats just silly.
 
I'm still trying to understand what exactly happened, but to me it seems that kids become "teenagers" much earlier now than before, and get a lot more adulthood pressure - of only the completely wrong kind.

when I was 10 no one at school cared about how to dress, girls weren't wearing make-up and we still played with pretty much whatever we had. hell, I wasn't even interested in girls yet. we were KIDS. but now I see kids, even those younger than 10, using cell phones, wearing expensive brand clothes, wearing make-up and trying to act like teenagers.
 
You see parents are paranoid about their children's safety such that they refuse to let them leave home without a cell phone. Funny since when I went to school no one had them and no one seemed to think it wasn't safe.

Also having one is a status symbol and now like in any age past every parent is judgmental and competitive such that they want their children to be "better" than everyone else's. That means always having newer and "better" things.
 
Maybe the kids wanted to call someone like another kid to get them out of trouble, thus avoiding calling the firemen and making a big thing out of it.

Knowing my parents, as a kid i would first try to get out of trouble without alerting authorities... plus i didn't have a cell.
 
Calling emergency services would probably have taken longer. They ain't always fast!

And phones with internet access. I don't even have that.

Only positive about this is that they actually ended up in a storm drain.
Back in the day we used to run around outside and climb trees all day. Now the little shits just sit inside on their fucken computer and get fat.

T'was better before, ya. When me and my grandfather were young, most people didn't have computers and a mobile phone would fill up the trunk of your car.
 
Thank God my childhood is simple and silly. Miss the good old days where children just living their life care-free and simple...
