GORIS SCRIPT fit the Non Helmet PA. Second Round!

I think this deserve a new thread. :D
A suggestion that would stay in the subject, make the helmet removing animation for the CA, this way all CA NPC could have a different head since with this script, we would just need to make the AA anim.

Or let's make some "normal" clothes for the player (all basic animation, no weapon one) with 0 armor. When the player enter combat, he put the best armor in inventory.
 
Can anyone think of what to add to the wish list?

All the possible combinations between hairstyle, gender, and skin tone. That would mean:
- Long-haired PC, two for male + two for female (for black and white skin), one of these is done;
- Bald dude for women - black and white skin;
- Pink hair (4 models);
- Short-haired (like the default female) - 3 models;
- Mohawk - 4 models;
- Blond and red hair - 8 models;
- Any combination of the above (long-haired red hair, short-haired blond, red mohawk, etc.) - about 40 models;
- Anything I haven't thought of, plus it combined with the things above - about 50-100 models.

Though I don't think that most of these are worth the work. But here are some various options:
- Fat PC;
- Animations for all weapons for super-mutants - needed for any mod with super-mutant PC;
- All weapon animations for ghouls, if they don't exist already;
- Armors for ghouls.

Grayswandir's idea for normal clothes outside of combat is cool, but unrealistic. Change clothes every time before combat? In the meantime you can get shot about 5 times if you're fast. This should cost you action points, and yet, it seems too unrealistic.

Are you serious, or are you joking… 50-100 models. I mentioned this on the RP thread, but just in case you didn’t see it I will repeat it, if you want the full weapon version of a critter then –

The PC critters has approximately 140 animations, with 6 different directions, and on average 8 frames per animation (Some more some less) - 140 x 6 = 840 x 8 = 6720. That is just the basic frames, when you add the various procedures in building the critter (An accurate estimation is 8 procedures per frame including Photoshop and the Frame Animator) 6720 x 8 = 53760. Almost 54,000 things must happen before you get to play a new critter, and then there is the Vault Suit, Max Leather, Hard Leather, and Metal…so 54,000 x 4 = hell on earth.

Please be realistic…most critters don’t require all weapons, let’s think of a small number of the better possibilities. :wtf:

You serious .Pixote.?, you'd bleed out through your eyes should you attempt such a thing!! And more importantly (i believe it was Lexx who said this around here somewhere); you'll burn out, quick, you've already proven your mad modding machine capabilities, don't push it, trust me.

As for the list above, i have a few observations;

I'm trying to get back to a lot of unfinished stuff so if you're still willing, maybe we can work on finishing the bald dude soon. :)
 
Well, I was using the wrong word. Everything else I wrote is valid.

By a "model" I mean a whole set of animations - with all the armor types, weapons, and everything else. Examples for this are the black dude, the bald dude, and the male/female already playable characters.

As I said, I don't think it's worth all that work. But if someone is creating a big list of all animations that can be ever useful to anyone any day, here are some entries.

Yeah, maybe, but to argue my case, Goris already do it, so why not the player? And if you are careless enought to wander in the wasteland with civilian clothes, maybe you deserve to get shot? :D
But then you would need an incentive to wear civilian clothes within a city. Like the vault city people wont accept to believe you are a citizen if you dont have the vault city jumpsuit, idem for the hubologist. A nice suit would give you a better reaction check, or would be required to be allowed to see Tandi/senator...

Anyway, I am just trying to see if this script could have other uses maybe thats too much bioware-and not fallout fitting at all.
(sunglasses maybe?) :D

This is the one I wanted to help with (V13 redhead NPC -> PC, if its the one I'm thinking of!). I've started playing around today getting to know Frame Animator and working out which animations she is "missing" to make her fully playable as a PC. Seems although a lot of work, she'd be one of the easiest to at least make into a "NPC who can use all weapons" even if I/we didn't get to doing her in the various armors for PC purposes.

So, .Pixote, have you done any work on her? Has anyone? Should I start creating her missing animations (was going to start with the pistol and climbing ones today), but I don't want to do a bunch of stuff others have already started!

Otherwise, given your (wonderfully insane! :D ) offer to collaborate with someone to make the critters on your list, can I volunteer to team up on her? I'm committed to making at least something usable and useful out of her, even if its just the weapon animations to start with.

It’s more important that Mr. Baldie gets finished first – considering that he is 90% complete…after that if you still have the desire to work on Miss Red Head go for it. Once her head is complete for one armor set its easy enough to place it on the other armor sets…the shape and proportions will be identical. Grab this Photoshop file – it might be useful in understanding how I construct the critters…PS – Boxer Critter

X’il will be delighted to have someone assist with Mr. Baldie…so drop him a message. :wink:

Yes - try to keep new animation stuff in the 'new animations' thread. I'm going to start a new thread for this mod soon anyway so this thread will become defunct.
