Great TV returns

Psyched! 24 returns, another episode of the Shield.

Also new Sopranos seems to have a lot more promise than last season and the new HBO series, Deadwood, is pretty cool.

What are you watching?

I'm watching 24, and I love it, but over here, we get the episodes much later than in the States (we're currently at season 2) so I've been spoiled a few times, and it's annoying. Like people telling me about season 3.

I'm not watching anything. Really, I'm not.
It's odd, really. I do watch TV, but I don't actually WATCH TV, if you know what I mean...
I tend to watch music channels, informative channels, news and sports.
How odd...

Hmm....

PS: Goddamn crackers. Stop attacking my firewall.

I'm just damn giddy that they're going to be making new Family Guy episodes premiering in 2005.

Now if they just started making new Highlander and Farscape episodes...

Is Oz still running? I like watching that now and then.

Just be glad you don't live in Canada where all the great cable dramas don't air until a year after they were out in the states. Its actually possible to watch episodes of Sopranos earlier than they're broadcasted if you watch the season DVDs.

Meh, it all seems so irrelevant when you haven't had time to watch TV on even a semi-regular basis for two or three years and counting.

I watch re-runs of the Simpsons and Futurama and that's about it. I pay half the cable bill in my apartment so I feel like I should watch more, but I really hate 99% of television.

TiVo is the best thing ever. I spend half an hour on Sunday finding everything I want to watch, it records is over the week and I can watch it all without commercials on the weekend.

Best thing ever.

Cool, new Family Guy.
I never had much interest the Highlander series, except for that chick who was with him that died- she was a babe.
The first movie was pretty cool.

Farscape, that was a fun show but I think it was running out of steam. Missed the ending but heard about it. What a sucky way to finish up the series.

Check out the Shield if you can. It's a bit like "what if Training Day was a series." I think the first season was the best, the second was ok. But I think the new season is just warming up. The fact that the money train is marked is an interesting development.

Oz is no longer making new episodes but it's still on HBO quite a bit. I missed most of the last season which I am catching up on.

So far I am enjoying Deadwood and The Sopranos as well as the History Channel.

I had to force myself to sit through the first 3-4 episodes of now and again because they where absoute sentimental shit, but i loved the concept and thankfully the show got better.

I watch The office, queer eye, The OC, Csi, Family guy and Law and order all 3 versions.

This season of 24 didn't grab me.

I watch The Shield religiously though...the past two episodes have been in-fucking-tense.

I would watch The Sopranos, especially since Buscemi is on there now, but I've only seen the first two episodes of the first season. I don't get HBO so it's hard to keep up.

Chappelle's Show and South Park are good. I've also been watching a lot of Family Guy, recently.

yeah, family guy's funny.
shield rules, but I didn't think the first couple eps were all that much --- not complaining, though.
just compared to the first couple seasons.
you know, you can d/l all that hbo stuff --- that's how I watched carnivale.
speaking of which, I need to get yesterday's shield.....

I don't have cable TV so I pretty much only watch ABC (Australian government funded channel that is liberal and frequently attacks the government, even though they are State owned). The only other good one is SBS, the 'ethnic' channel. Everything else is garbage.

The most captivating program in Australia is a talk show hosted by Andrew Denton. He made the great leap from comedian to serious, well semi-seroius, television interviewer and gives great insight into people's personalities. Can you get this show overseas? If not, I strongly recommend that people see this even though most of the guests are Australian.
