Gun Runners' Arsenal and Courier's Stash released on Steam

WorstUsernameEver

But best title ever!
After being released on Xbox Live first, just as pretty much every DLC for the Fallout franchise ever, the Courier's Stash (which contains all the previously preorder-only item packs) and Gun Runners' Arsenal (which includes 27 new weapons between moddable variants of vanilla items, new uniques and non-unique version of uniques that didn't have them) are available on Steam.

Hmm, downloaded it, but I can't find the file in my mod manager. All GunRunnersArsenal.* files seem to be there. Also the game doesn't recognize it (probably because of that).

/Edit: Made integrity check and redownloaded some files. Works now.

Steam won't allow me to buy Courier's stash because i already have Caravan Pack.

Valve saving your from double-dipping? Not a bad thing really, considering it has been recreated as a mod a good while ago.

I did buy the Gun Runners Arsenal... I hope it is worth the shot of whiskey I would have bought instead.

I'm liking the GRA stuff so far, especially how it's not all just shoved into the Gun Runner's shop and also on other merchants.

Courier's Stash is poorly implemented though IMO, having it all separate .esp files. I was expecting one file and the option in-game to chose which stash you want at the start or have it sitting somewhere in Doc Mitchell's house, instead it just dumps it into your inventory all at once.

Guess I shouldn't have expected any different.

Wait, it does? That's annoying. I was hoping there would be a chest right outside his house or something.

It looks like the new ammo types are added to container in the gameworld as well. I was just playing Honest Hearts again today and found in some container a few of the new high explosive missles and the new 12.7mm jhp ammo.

I was kind of hoping that I would get an extra Classic pack, but I guess I won't get that second Vault 13 jumpsuit. The light weight leather armor is great, though. I am kind of pissed off that some of the GRA stuff is in the Silver Rush, considering that even though I completed Heartaches by the Number non violently, I'm hostile to the Van Graffs.

Why do they call it Gun Runners' Arsenal if most of the stuff is not sold by the Gun Runners?!?

So, if I killed the Van Graffs, I can never get certain items??? That's super-lame!!

No, the opposite. If you killed the Van Graffs the Gun Runners get into the energy weapons business and sell it.

It actually makes sense, kinda, because the Van Graffs kill anyone trying to get into the business. On the other hand, I don't know how the G.R.'s workshop making steel firearms suddenly has the equipment and expertise to assemble energy weapons on site...

It's interesting that if you enter the Gun Runner's factory you will see a laser rifle and a plasma pistol on the benches.
Maybe they are disassembling them for mass production.

Ah, good point. I missed that in my haste to sneak through it with a minimum of stealth boys.

It could also be rationalized under the fact that they will buy whatever you're selling (Small burned books, dirty water, teddy bears, etc.) anyhow. Maybe, it's refurbished gear.

It'd be cool if a mod comes out that distributes some of the non-unique, lower tier weapons among enemies in the wastes.

I like that the guns are really expensive. I hate the hoarding mentality and think it's a pain in the ass in games such as these so I almost never reach any godly sums of money in game. I also tend to not make use of the DLCs overpowering shit too much to make money.

I plunked down the cash for the Bozar and so now I'm nearly broke. NV is still a game with a really fucked up economy that is easy to break but moving a lot of the attractive guns to vendors and making them expensive as fuck help a bit at least.

Wow you got some cheap whiskey where you come from! Here in Australia it costs $10 bucks (roughly $10 USD) for a shot. I bought the GRA and I have to say that it probably is worth it. Some of the guns are quite unique and fun to play with. Going to town with the bozar was fun for an hour or so on that alone I'd have to say it's probably worth the money. The challenges are actually challenging and if you have that sick compulsion to get all the achievements like I do then you're gonna have to buy it anyway.

No kidding? I can buy 60 oz of beer or 3 shots of anything for that price in some places.

Anyway, got the Arsenal, it's nice that the weapons are spread out and cover all offensive skills, rather than just guns. The Bozar is great, and so are the Smithy Special and the Two-Step Goodbye. Explosive ammo for the AMR is also a godsend against the powerful Lonesome ROads creatures, and fun to use in general.

Also, the challenges are really nice, and some are quite original. Killing 15 Cazadores with times explosives is going to be hell. Oh, and suffice to say, bring a spear and knife to see a certain self-styled Emperor, and the weapon a certain protagonist in a certain popular undersea FPS used to kill an important character in that game very similar to a certain guy in a certain ''impenetrable'' casino tower in New Vegas. Lack of spoiler tags also make me a sad panda.

I don't think you would understand the title of that challenge unless you actually played the game before. I certainly wouldn't have...

It seems it only added 3 weapons for unarmed builds, I was kind of hoping a little more, oh well, at last it makes explosives builds more varied.

Didn't every other dlc add enough unarmed weapons for you, Walpknut? We got the Bear Trap Fist, the Yao Guai Gauntlet, Saturnite Power Fists,The Industrial Hand, and a Deathclaw Gauntlet. All of these are quite powerful. I would've died on the elvator fight without my Industrial Hand.

MFC Clusters are the bomb!

Get it?

It's a pun.
