Hearts of Iron IV

yes
in fact, the "gran dstrategy" term is never exist. it was paradox that invent the whole genre. so, as result all genre all getting very positive review

Pretty much all those games are getting mixed reviews. Stellaris, Hearts of Iron, Galactic Civilizations 3, master of orion etc. It seems like only Civ 5 has an overhlemingly positive reviews in steam. Is it really that better than those other games?

galactic civ, ,master of orion and even civ 5 Is Not Grand strategy genre.
Stellaris and hearts of iron is very well received, the only complain so far is came from the most hardcore fanbase and historical enthusiast. Or in case of stellaris, the Hard Sci fi writer. in fact, the steam review showed very positive reception and even more so in metacritic. Though, i find stellaris to be a bit underwhelming since i used to know paradox games before.

HOI 4 will suck,It looks so much with the last one.

They could have done instead THAT cold war game, who liked like Victoria 2 and EU4.

cold war is complicated, as that era is not the domain of what is called as total war.

hoi 4 is not suck, have you play it? and if you do, what aspect is bad?

Yea Cold War is interesting idea but that wouldn't work with the Grand Strategy type of game in my opinion.

Hearts of Iron IV looks great to me, but I haven't played it yet. I am sticking with Stellaris for now.

HOI4 looks and plays nice, but as a super-nitpick, I must say, I still prefer HOI2 for small things, like attention to minor "insignificant" details

You notice this especially when you play countries outside of the WW2 theatre, for example, HOI2 includes the Peruvian Ecuadorian war of 1941, and as such, it also includes Peruvian and Ecuadorian politics and politicians

I understand that in order to grow the graphics, they had to shrink the extreme-level detailedness, but that was one of the things I really admired about HOI2 - its almost fanatical attention to detail

I probably sound like a total douche now but - I even enjoyed the lack of graphics in HOI2, because it felt like rolling open a big war-map. I don't particularily like the notion of playing on a "satellite image" of earth

but yes, I'm a nitpick :V
