Help me buy a new laptop

My current laptop is ready to give up the ghost so I'd like to buy a new one. I know nothing about them, though, and my Lenova Ideapad 100-15IBD is apparently an extraordinarily shitty computer. I only found out how bad it was when I tried to buy a new battery for it (hopefully one with a longer life than before) and found out it was an enormous pain in the ass to change it.

It's a definite business need, though since I carry it around everywhere to do my writing on it.

So, I'm definitely up for recommendations.

Since you're swimming in money @CT Phipps, I'd suggest you getting one of these rugged laptops tested for military/industrial standards.

Have to say get a Asus too. Been using Asus for more than 15 years and they have the best customer support I have ever seen. Their laptops are also quite nice and have good quality.

If you just need it for writing, I'd probably agree with the other guys say get something simple like an Asus. I've had a couple and they've been generally reliable.
