Help with nation naming

First time out of the vault
Hey guys, Im going to make a fanfic on Fallout, and Im trying to think of a good post-apocalyptic nation name, I just need some help if its a good name or not

Anyways, the nation is a remnant of US Army and Spec Ops in the Midwest, I wouldnt say they're like the Enclave, they adhere to Patriotic ideals, but are very militaristic due to their descent from Pre-War soldiers, they're not fascist or nazi like Enclave, but I guess extremely American in a way?
I named it right now the MSAR, or the Midwestern Strategic Allied Republic, but I would like an invoice from you guys on what you think of the acronym. If you any of guys are really good in nation naming, please do post

Also I have no idea if it should be Strategic or Strategian, I think having words ending with ic in the same acronym would sound odd

Look at real nation names.

Imho, naming a country "strategic" sounds very odd. Is the country strategic? All the time? :D
"Midwestern Allied Republic" sounds much better, just like that. "Allied" also sounds a bit odd for a nation (and not an alliance). For countries made up of several sub-nations, "Federation" or "Union" is more common, so, "Midwestern Federation of Republics" or "Federation of Midwestern Republics" FMR, rolls nicely off the tongue!

Anyway... that's my opinion :]

Could name them after where they are based. If their headquarters is located in a military base or something they could be named after the base. They could also be named after their founder. For example if their founder was called "Jacob Colton" then they could be called "Coltons."

Thanks for the advice, I put strategic because they're mainly based off from a Base and that the region they are in is a very strategic area for a Post-Apocalyptic America (imo, the Midwest is a strategic point for trade and such), the allied part is because theyre allied with people from Vaults and other post-apocaylptic nations, so Strategic Allied is that they are all allied together in a strategic alliance consisted as a Republic

I thought of calling it the Midwestern Strategic Allied Republics than just Republic then because they're all allied together and federated as one

Well Im just going to call them Midwesterners as they're not all from the same place

You should call your nation 'Strategic Strategians from the Sub-Saharan-Stratosphere'. That sounds simple and it's immediately clear to everyone what the hell you're talking about.

Hey guys, I need some help

I'm trying to think of a way to make the values and philosophy of my nation different from that of NCR. They're descended from soldiers, and see the Pre-War US Army as some sort of legendary force. There values are more based on Federalism and Militaristic values such as Order. If any of you guys have good ideas to make the nation different from New California, that would be very appreciative

Also I need help in getting a capital name, I thought of the name "Federal One", a city only rivaled to that of New Vegas (Located I think in Kansas City, the military used a crash program with an experimental anti-ballistics weapon in a desperate attempt to save the city from nuclear impact, but not from fallout, the city is kinda like New Vegas' qualities, it has power, but it's a bit more diesel and cyberpunk. The name is basically called because it's a clean slate in a new post-apocalyptic world, with the capital being a reminder to legendary Federal govt back in Old World. It's also bit of a nod to 1984's Airstrip One). However I thought of an original name of the founding town called "Wolfsbane", I thought I could make it turn it into something that the NCR did (Their capital was called Shady Sands, but now renamed as NCR). If any of you also have good names for a capital, that be great. It has to be something American I suppose
