First time out of the vault
I'm near completing the game, but I can't get the fuel for the tanker. I joined the huboligists, gave them the fuel, formatted the emperor computer, and killed all of the huboligists. Did I just screw myself, or is there another way?
 
I seem to recall that you can reroute the fuel to the tanker using the Hubologists computer, it's been a long time since I played FO2 the last time though, so I'm not sure.
 
using the hubologist's computer you can reroute fuel to the tanker, or you can do the same using the emperor (i didn't know you could format it, never had that option). Or you can go to the guy in the tanker, Badger, and save his girlfriend then ask him to hack into the Hubologist''s computer and reroute fuel for you. Assuming you saved his girlfriend from below first (tough battle unless you have marcus with a good weapon and something good yourself).
 
Ey N00XX0r! here are all ways to get da fuel

From Dr Jing after doing quest 15 (5000 xp).
From Badger after doing quest 11 (5000 xp if he gets the fuel from the Shi, 6000 xp if he gets it from the Hubologists).
From a Shi chemistry workstation (5000 xp).
From the Shi mainframe (5000 xp, plus 3000 xp if you did not yet gain Ken Lee's permission to use the computer).
From Dave Handy after talking to Vikki (5000 xp if you tell him she made fun of him and he gets the fuel from the Shi, 3000 xp if you tell him she made fun of him and he gets it from the Hubologists, no xp if you tell him she thinks he's hot).
From Matthew when you complete quest 16 if you have IN<4 (5000 xp).
From the AHS-9 when you complete quest 4 if you have IN<4 (5000 xp).

:shock: hehe.... great work Dan, btw..I'm still holding off on posting the quests for FO2, since we're looking at getting some php scripts to post articles and such..
 
I forgot to mention this, but San Francisco is a ghost town too. They didn't like me hacking into the emperor computer illegally I guess.

I talked to Badger, and he said he stole the fuel, but it just isn't there. :?
 
Hmmm...

You shouldn't have a problem moving the tanker just because everyone's dead.

Just be sure the FOB and NavCom parts are installed.

If Matt says he stole the few, he has, he can be trusted.

One thing; did you kill the tanker vagrants? I don't remember exactly, but I believe you need the captain's permission to go away, but killing him might work also.
 
You don't need his permission, you can just walk up to the computer and start the voyage, that is if you have the fuel and the navcom part installed :wink:
 
I ran a diagnostic on the tanker, and it says the tanks are empty. The Huboligist computer has no option for transfering the fuel. Could it be a problem with version 1.00? Maybe I should get the 1.02 patch, but I think it messes with the saved games.
 
OK, thanks. If that doesn't work, I'll just have to start over and try NOT to kill everyone in San Fran. :roll:
