Herve Caen sees bright times ahead for Interplay

Why would an investor pump money into this project. Lets look at the facts and trying to simulate having an investor's eye.

1. IPLY does not any staff to create any proof of concepts. No drawings of what could be.

2. IPLY does not have ANY of the original staff who created the product this new venture is based upon.

3. The current CEO of IPLY is asking for substantial investment in a product he himself has no first hand experience in.

4. The current CEO of IPLY has no first hand experience in the venture (herve hasn't played any games), and so had limited knowledge of target audience and market share.

5. The current CEO of IPLY has a track record of poor product selection and placement.

6. The current CEO of IPLY has a long track record of breaking deals with other corporations.

7. The current CEO of IPLY has a long track record of corporate funds mismanagement.

8. The current CEO of IPLY has no first hand experience with the complexity of the venture being offered.

9. The current CEO of IPLY has limited credibility within the both US and French game markets in regard to employee relations to over come several of these issues.

Did I miss anything?

Aside from holding a fire sale and declaring debts null because he managed to hide from the debtors, what has Herve done that indicates he and his venture idea bankable? What does Herve bring to the table?

Isn't Herve's comment evidence of hallucinogenic drug use and thus warrant an arrest? I do believe it is.

you missed the fact that when Fallout 3 hits the shelves it will be an Oblivion-esk 'monsterhit'.

a shitload of illinformed and utterly retarded people will likely jump on the word 'Fallout', even if it says Fallout Online and regardless of the utter shit Herve has pulled in the past & what his current situation is.

so he'll get some investors, that's for sure. i do hope he doesnt gather enough money though...

I agree with Suaside

Herve will be able to post many intriguing snippets about the reason to fund Fallout Online.

1. Herve took Interplay from 59 million in debt to profitability (soon after the final money comes in from Fallout, and the recently announced other licensed games).
2. Fallout 3 will be a huge hit regardless of what the hard core fans think of the integrity of the product.
3. MMORPG's are a huge, huge buzzword right now and tons of companies and investors are pumping money into them like crazy, even though many of them will fail or be lucky to break even.
4. NMA, Duck and Cover, etc. all cover Fallout. There is a large rabid fan base (despite the fact that most people on these sites hate Herve)

**At 8 cents a share, Interplay is looking more and more attractive to me right now. Whether or not Fallout Online makes it in the long term, Herve will likely generate some interest and investment monies, which suggests to me there's some short term money to make on Interplay stock.
