I find the time between World War I and World War II to be rather interesting, mostly seeing the rise of Hitler.
And while it's not exactly a period of History, I do have a rather morbid fascination of the Modern History of Human Experimentation. It really is a downer when you read the soulless atrocities that people did just to torture people and experiment with drugs (here's looking at you MK Ultra).

Yes... the Interbellum period is really interesting.
