So after upgrading my PC new vegas was acting bonkers with my mod set up so I had to redo it from scratch.
That's a good excuse as any other to go back to play it.

Hmmm, second play through, I'm keeping the Platinum Chip, 489.14.39 hours as of today, ... 'suppose I should put Steam online and let it update the achievements, but, ... why bother?

SnapSlav: you want to build a PC machine on your own, commendable, and the main reason: "I want to know what is in it." is sound reasoning, ... the first and last thing is budget. Have you looked on these sites?

I am not recommending the sites explicitly, just use the "configurators" to get an idea of basic costs for the various configs.
Some tips you may already know:
Keep in mind the airflow for keeping your system cool, get a decent case.
Do not skimp on the Power Supply, over-over-power it for later expansion, and keep it cool. PSU 90+
Do not skimp on Hard Drive(s), Consider a "hot swap" for Hard drives. Keep in mind that while the newer "solid-state" drives may be fast, they are expensive too, a good Western Digital is much cheaper and is fast enough for today's applications and Hitachi has the lowest failure rate on Tb sized drives:

Intel's i5 and i7 cores are good, but so are some of the AMD multicores. Think what the system will be doing 5 years from now.
Look for expansion slots, the more the better. Memory should be 8gb with expansion to 16gb or more. (for today's applications, 8 is plenty, but 5 years from now?)

    Happy Hunting!

    I'm afraid to check.

How common is it anyway, am I some freak of nature here? I'll typically be bored, I don't even want a lot of games, most suck, so I'll replay games I allready have ad infinitum.
New Vegas I have probably re-played... I really don't know.. possibly more than 30 times*, and with maybe a maximum of 3 different character builds, hell, not even that different...

I've also gotten into a habit of playing these kind of games as a chick. Much more interesting to behold :0

*it is one of the latest additions to my games. FO2 I've replayed many many many, NO idea what the count is, but likely over 50 times... :D

I'm not sure how many hours I've made, however if I had to guess it would be about 230 hours or so. Mostly because I've only played the story 4 times because I get bored of a game very easily if I play it for large amounts of time.

384 proud hours on it and I'm thinking of playing it again due to some new mods that I have found.

34 hours. I'm tempted to install a mod that will allow me to fast travel to Contreras in McCarran etc. Hope it won't corrupt my game.

Just hit the 500 Hours mark on my official Steam profile.

Though, Steam doesn't count hours when offline and I went almost half a year without internet, in that time I completed a very long playthrough of the game so my actual hours are probably higher than that.

How many hours have you guys spent on a single playthrough? I've hit 105 and I'm getting a little tired of it. As for my total time spent on this game, I think it would be something like 400-500
