Myself i only induldge when off duty and haven't had even a speeding ticket in over 10 years, i am not a recualas indangerment but life is a bit short not to have any fun. Ya plus you worded that funny with the don't and push through so even if you are against it you no where i stand on the matter, and its ok if you choose to be straight my bro has never done any himself and we still hang out and shoot pool at the club. Thats where we get together and watch wrestling. 8)

*sighs* Well, they do say ignorance is bless, tell me, are they right?

Oh Kharn that little red line wassn't meant for every one to read thats why its so small. Try picking that toast apart. I was only on my second beer when i wrote that what till later on tonight afer i have unwinded. hehe 8)

Maybe we should have a vote and see if my colors are really that bad ive toned them down some so its not huge hi fi stuff on the hole screen a couple words highlighted are no so bad is it ?

At least i am not using URL picture talk ; )

Some highlighted words arn't that bad. For example if you wish to highlight the inportance of a certain word or somthing to make it stand out.
I think it was just the entire post wrote in cyan that was bad.
I have to admit, that was pretty annoying to read. But still, the use of colour is there to be used, but with moderation.

I think he's just quoting Mr. Garrison from South Park, m'kay? Kharn, how did you learn to write so good? And how did you pick up on so much American culture?

I disagree here. An entire post written in a bright color with a black background is nothing but strain for the eyes while trying to read it. A picture, on the other hand, usually composes of several different colors all blended together while also being worth 1000 words and being understood within seconds.

Isn't it "write so well"?

Well, I'm Dutch. Almost every Dutchy can at least speak English perfectly, though most have the silliest accent you'll ever hear. Heh, when I was in Britain, I was told I have a Russian accent.

Though I am proud of my English grades: I had a 10 (out of 10) for my oral exams, a 10 for my listening test and a 9.3 for my written test, giving me a 9.8 so far.

And American culture; well, obviously, almost all our tv is American, since most other countries only make crap shows. And none of it is dubbed, nor are movies! Gotta love that.

And I'm slightly interested in American culture, which is why I'm actually familiar with the American political system, gun laws, etc. etc. And unlike most Dutch, I don't hate the Americans without even thinking about why. I don't hate Americans while thinking about "why" either.

Really? The closest of the Indo-European languages, eh. I was not aware of that and I am English. I hail (dear lord, I hope this is the right 'hail', it would be such a pity to use incorrect spelling in a post discussing how great the English language is) from the home of our great and glorious language.

Closest relative of english. The next being german.

Dutch and English are germanic languages iirc, but they're considered on the low germanic side of the treee and german is high germanic, iirc. Kinda hazy though, so I"m not entirely certian.

Well yes, that's true.

I don't hate Americans, and most people I know don't hate them either. There are a lot off people here which don't hate Americans Kharn.

I can't put my finger on it, but I think Dutch is just as close to German as to English.

Ah, is that it. Well you live another day, you learn another thing.

Dutch is also the closest relative to english of the indo-european language family.

Actually, that's not true.

The actual closest relative of English is the little known language Frisian. Which is gramatically nearly identical to Dutch, but has a different vocabulary. It's spoken in one province of the Netherlands "Friesland" or...Frisia, I suppose. It's a small language, but an official one.

I know, I was just poking fun. You'll have to admit anti-Americanism is as strong in the Netherlands as in most EU countries, though.

Oh sure, but ASL (American Sign Language) is the fourth largest language in America and its not offically recognized... Dang European countries!

And a good day to you. Just don't forget! Frisian rules!

Well, it's not spoken, now is it :P

I bet "gebarentaal" as we call it is officially recognised here, but I'm not sure.

Ebonics is an officially recognised language, though...Right?

Hey Jacen and Kharn, how about my real name. Auke. Is that Frisian or what..

I'm not that proud of our drugs-policy. I must say I did use some for a while, but it is very destructive for your educational carreer. nWo perhaps doesn't have enough knowledge of research in social effects of drug use to display a non-ignorant-seeming view (no offence nWo, I can understand your point of view, but I think it is flawed) but my thoughts are that you can't give anyone freedom to do whatever they want because it is just a fact that some people can't make a rational decision for themselves. (and for sure not at the age most start to try some, puberty) The political decision is just one to avoid criminal activities by legalizing it. Social cost on the other hand show themselves years later, by a larger group of less-educated and the flow from softdrugs to harddrugs.

I wouldn't be suprised if softdrugs will be forbidden in a decade in Holland. Time will tell.

*sighs* Well, they do say ignorance is bless, tell me, are they right?
That is indeed the problem.
