I have to point out something in Bethesda's world design.
While it might be fun to walk around in their world, killing stuff and collecting knickknacks. Their World building sucks a lot.
Their world makes no sense (it's like time hasn't passed, has no food or water sources, towns are unrealistic in many ways like safety, people live in settlements still full of trash and rubble for decades, and all the other things people have been saying about their worlds for decades now). But there is something no one talks about, after a while I started to notice something weird was happening in FO3...
Their building interiors are always much larger than the exterior of the building, also they usually have rubble piles all over the interiors, but there is no place from where that rubble came from... The rubble is just there, I guess people just carried the rubble inside buildings for some reason.
I can name an easy place for anyone to check these problems. Go to the RobCo Facility (the same Moira sends you while doing the Wasteland Survival Guide) and just look at the outside and inside size of the building, also notice all the random rubble piles everywhere inside. It's ridiculous, and the game is full of places like that.
