I thought Fallout 4 will be good

I thought Bethesda was incapable of creating a good game. Seeing how everyone say it's a solid shooter, I guess I'm wrong.

Played about 80 hours. It's a first-person shooter with worse story, dialogue, and RPG aspects than Fallout 3. It plays exactly like an offline MMO.

If that's what you're looking for then you'll love it.

Ah as do I, nothing like a top down game as opposed to a FPS where you kill monsters in first person view because "it's more immersive". :smug:

The whole 'fast' travel system makes things funner for me. No boring walking sim in those games.

I'm assuming you never play the multiplayer games like Rust and DayZ then? Or STALKER games? I mean, immersive travelling by foot does work if done right. Note the "if done right" part of my statement, which obviously was not present in Fallout 4.

No, though I have seen them.

You have no idea how popular of a niche that is. Plus Bethesda's fantastic marketing skills, and it was guaranteed to be successful.

It's hugely popular with younger generation. My son spent his entire winter break playing FO4, something like 200hrs, and never even went to Diamond City. All he did was build/defend settlements and find out the best place to farm gunners for weapons and armor for his settlers. It doesn't surprise me since most of the games he plays are MMO's and MOBA's, but I was shocked when I saw our Steam account hrs played for FO4.

Ever played Fallout 1/2/NV or some other great RPG classics?

He's not into rpg's really at all, that's my point though, for him FO4 plays just like an offline MMO/tower defense/FPS, which is right up his alley. I'm sure when he's a little older he'll appreciate the classics, but right now he won't even watch classic movies if they aren't in color.

Oh... my god! That means he misses movies like 'The Naked Truth', 'Casablanca' and so many others!
