If you could have one thing, what would it be ?

A second-hand bookstore would suck, it's be too cramped and all the books would be uncared for and stuff. Mabye a library, but it's not my life ambition?

Being immortal would be kewl, you could soak up everything and do everything then ponder for ETERNITY after it's all gone. Might get a bit boring after you've done everything and floating through potentiality remembering about the good ol' days or something. I'd like to be immortal though, be liek WOW!

More time would be nice. Or the ability to control time or be independent of it.

(this coming from an old geezer).

Now, your dream is having a second-hand bookshop? Would you care to elaborate more about the reason of this?

In my experience of such shops, "it is commendable practice to wear carpet slippers all day and open only when you feel like it" (Pratchett is spot on, again).
These shops seem to survive for years despite there being no more than two people browsing around at any time (not necessarily buying anything either).
I love books that have obviously been read and ruffled a lot: they are books with several stories - the one written down, and the ones I imagine about their previous owner(s)-.
As a heavy reader with a wide range of interests, browsing a second-hand bookshop can keep me occupied for hours and is usually (read always) an enlightening experience (especially as far as my purse is concerned) (this is also the case as far as music shops are concerned, though to a much lesser extent).

Ah, yeah, if I were still the avid reader I was back in elementary school, owning a book store would be my dream. Heck, it still would be now I think about it. You'd be able to learn everything in the world, get paid for it, and not have to pay for a single book.

I was going to say the chance to go into space but the ability to have more time walking this planet sounds excellent. Just think of the knowledge you could gain over time...

What fashion statements?? Anyway, what would you have written in place of "my purse" - "my bank account"? I didn't think I'd write "the reinforced steel briefcase handcuffed to my wrist", you might be jealous

A briefcase, backpack or wallet always works. At least they fit the gender stereotypes...

Crushed Dreams

Seeing that I'm as likely to get my immortality as to get a full night romping with Leelee Sobieski, so I'll put my standards down. I want a HK MP5K in 10 mm and 5000 rounds.

Ah, this is an easy one to answer...
