Awesome. Can't wait!! Currently up to the mission where you have to "kill" the guy in the rehab centre, and once he is pronounced "dead" bring him back with some serum. But I have only just started and haven't yet made much progress.

Why does it sound like a brotherhood mission of TES: Boreblivion..?

I'm going to get an xbox 360, because the games will sill be superior to those of the PS3 and the Wii (also, some girl or girly guy I know will prolly get it). and I like to challenge my friends, something impossible if I bought a more expensive gaming PC instead (plus, I'd just get addicted to PC gaming again). The games aren't a problem. I say no more!

I really fail to see much point in purchasing the 360. Most of the screenies from 360 games i've seen show relatively marginal improvement graphics- and speed-wise over the original suXBox. The PS3 is already rumored to be underpowered and overpriced, and i have heard that the ability to play PSOne and PS2 games on a PS3 will simply not exist, which irks me. The Wii intrigues me, however... though whoever coined the name "Wii" needs a CAT scan to check for damage.

The only reason I own a PS2 is because I wanted a DVD player for my TV and I didn't feel like turning my PC into some "home media center". It plays movies, it plays Mercenaries: PoD, and i can set up most of my games to simply run from the HDD. Who needs a fucking 360? Just wait for Exo-Blastorz 14 XL or whatever to make its way to PC. Even Halo eventually made it to PC (after I stuck a few pins in my Bill Gates voodoo doll).

Hehe, well think what you will, but my description was shit, at best :D

Hitman: Blood money is one of the best games ever, and I played it on vanilla sexbox. Especially the New Orleans Mardi gras mission.

I explained why in my case, and I think it's the same for others. Don't get me wrong, I love PC games, but for many reasons I'm going to buy a 360 instead.

Damn youngsters with their "ecks-bocks" and Morgan Freeman-movies.

I say, Duckman, can I borrow your "ecks-bocks" when you're done with it?

Sure why not??

I'm not sure that your games will work on my PAL ecks-bocks.

PS. Don't destroy it dammit!!

UPDATE:

I just bought Test Drive Unlimited, and I must say, at first, this game is quite cool. Buying a house, to store cars and filling the garages and such. Yadda yadda yadda, a few hours in, I just got over it. The graphics, which are supposedly "awesome" are nothing better than the ecks-bocks 1, and it just left a biter taste in my mouth.

Ah well, thank Jesus H Christ for 7 day returns on games you don't like!

:D

LOL well I did tell you to wait for the PS3, you could of been playing a real next gen game, like motorstorm as an example.

well apparently Microsoft got exclusives today on Bioshock and Splinter Cell so the purchase should still be well worth it soon enough.

Fuck Yeah!! I love Splinter Cell.

Erm, Serifan... It is a game, not the console that reeks. This is definitely the only game I have played so far that puts the ecks-bocks to shame.

Bought 360 cause my computer hasn't been able to run any new games for awhile now, strictly for the oldies. I like it ok, haven't played a game I really liked though.

Rented GRAW and well didn't like it that much, the story (biggest thing in a game for me) is very Splinter Cell like = boring. Perfect Dark was kinda boring too. Fight Night Round 3 was a fun game although I was shocked to find no Tyson in a boxing game! Want to try Dead Rising, looks like another purely fun game. Lately been playing PS2 games instead (got into Silent Hill series, love em). Hopefully something cool will come. Looking forward to Bioshock for 360 since there is no way my PC could run it.

i don't necessarily like the entire story, but damn it, the ambience drips off the screen and comes out of your speakers. you can almost taste the fear and nastyness in the air.

Totally. The atmosphere overall is awesome. I don't like the entire story either, however, I love the way they tell the story through every small detail with a deeper meaning behind everything. SH 1 and 2 especially have pretty complex stories, makes you feel like somebody took the game seriously and did it with heart, which is rare nowadays.
Does anyone know if 360 is going to get SH5?

Try Hitman: Blood Money. It is an awesome game, and even though it is pretty much the same engine that ran the other Hitman games, the storyline is great. I just finished it yesterday, and it has a good ending :P

GRAW I find to be a great game too. THe storyline is fairly good, not great, just good. But I like those Splinter Cell-esque storylines, so I guess that's why I like GRAW :D

Project Gotham 3 you should definitely try out if you enjoy racers.
