Intelligence Fallout 4 SPECIAL video

Dump Stat #3.

Bethesda being nice and telling all of their brain-dead fans that focusing on Intelligence is going to get their characters killed so make sure to put lots of points in Strength to kill stuff. lol

Dump Stat #3.

If you look at the perks chart, you'll probably never really want it higher than 6 anyway (that will get you access to all the crafting perks associated with the stat.)

The top 4 perks just seem remarkably weak or limited (Chemist at INT 7, Robotics Expert at INT 8, Atomic! at INT 9, and Nerd Rage at INT 10.) Luck, by contrast, appears incredibly useful.

Of course, who cares about game balance since Fallout 4 has super-fast leveling and you can play it forever so that everybody will end up with 10s across the board and all the perks.

Did they release the full Perk chart?

Not officially, but people have pieced together most of it by going through videos and the like. We know basically what the level 1 perk does for all but 3 or 4 of the 70 total.

Specificlaly, the Luck perks I'm referring to as being essential are "Untouchable" at Luck 10 (decrease enemy accuracy), "Luck of the Irish" at Luck 9 ("You find the best gear in containers"), Grim Reaper's Sprint" at Luck 8, "More Criticals" at Luck 7, and "Better Criticals" at Luck 6. That's a hell of a lot better than what INT gets, at least it seems from the previous incarnation of those perks.

Looks like a nice stat to put points into, energy weapons mods + hacking + drug making? Yes please!

Did anyone see that Vault Boy car animation near the end of the video? I wonder if that means something

Aparently it's a perk where the closest Quest marker is shown on Vats.
It shows the path to the closest quest target in V.A.T.S., as if quest markers are not enough.
It only has a single rank. I'd guess in FO5 there would be multiple ranks for it, with higher ranks there would be a voice navigation, you would get teleported to the quest marker, or even the quest you choose would get finished automatically. :\

If what we're hearing is true, I really dislike the notion of the V.A.N.S. perk. I mean, VATS is a good solution to trying to keep Fallout kind of an RPG, absolutely, and it's plausible that the computer on your pipboy can process data in combat to help you identify targets and shoot at them. But how the hell is Vault-Tec going to know which random locker the special Nuka Cola you need for the quest is hiding in? Like that's not a thing you can teach software to do.

Eh, it already knew how to pinpoint specific objects, locations and people before. What's stopping them from adding another silly iteration of that?

Not only that, but VATS is a combat system, not something that is always in use like the compass. HUD and the like. What use would a quest marker locating perk, after ignoring the absurdity of it in the first place, be for this system?
