Interplay announces Fallout 3 licensing deal with Bethesda

True. But complaining and demanding answers now won't work either. It's too early. They literally just started preproduction planning, there's not a person at Beth that knows if Fallout 3 is going to be a first person, third person, 3d, 2d, etc game yet.

I don't believe this. I never will. They just paid a lot of money for the license, they better have a pretty good idea of what they are going to do with it. Think about it for a moment. Does it make sense to pay millions(my guess) for something just because it might be useful?

It's interplay. I doubt they had to pay millions. And I wager they have a pretty good idea of what they're gonna do with it: Fallout 3, a RPG.

Personally, I hope they decide to make Fallout 3 a spitting image of Morrowind. Just to tick off some of the more rabid people in here. -.-

Complaining after its released doesn't solve the issue. People have to make themselves be heard before it takes a turn for the worse. Input and criticism (of the constructive variety) has to be given before there is a point of no return.

That's true, however, most people here seem to be are aware that production hasn't even started yet. The general gripe is in regards to some nebulous comments regarding treatment of the main elements of the series. Since they've stated that they have talked about the license several times in the past, it would be simple to surmise they'd have a fair idea of where they'd like to take it.

Wich would put us in a position of actually helping out in the setting and continuity issues they will be facing.

And why is too soon to complain, but not to praise? That really doesn`t make sense, except if you`re from the Penny Arcade or SA forums, like KITA. Here`s what Kita wrote in the last minutes:

I've changed my mind. I hope Fallout 3 is Morrowind with guns. Just to piss off some of these batshit insane fanboys who are acting like the world owes them a goddamn perfect game, and that their opinion is golden law.

You`re wrong, we simply don`t owe YOU nothing dipshit.

Of course they have a plan. But they won't reveal anything now, because those plans will change drastically over the course of the next few months. That's the way of pre-production. Even simple things as the perspective should be handled with care. Would you rather have a developer that said "yes it'll be 3/4 perspective" and then have him say "well, things are a bit diffrent now, it's still 3/4, but...". I bet the outrage would be enormous. "You LIED! BASTARD!" yadda yadda. I've read it all before when then annouced that Morrowind was going to have an over-the-shoulder camera or when Call of Cthulhu dropped their multiplayer capabilities (don't get me started on that one :( ).

By the way you keep pointing out that I didn't read the forum, well I went through several threads in the subforums News and Fallout 3 and all 9 pages of this one... so I know what I'm talking about.

Liar. THen you'd notice the warnings and in-depth explanations that basically point out to you how the combat system and view are BOTH intrinsic to Fallout CRPG's setting. I've also pointed out one of the "causes" of the "random bashing", which might be a little too in-depth for some people.

Besides that I doubt that Pete Hines, whoever the guy is, is a PR man, because a PR man would know better than using the word supernerds, this is a guy who is enthusiastic about a new project who doesn't like to have empty criticism and threats thrown in his direction.

A lot of idiocy in that. I'm not going to bother starting to debunk it, although I would suggest that you try on yourself the .45 method of retroactive birth-control if you think we're going to fall for your waffling but utterly clueless fumbling onto this forum.

Considering that you lied to us and tried to bullshit that you've lurked, you're now banned. I have no time for stupid newbie tricks.

KiTA, after being warned as well, you just had to post flamebait, goodbye.
