Interplay drags it out further

The involuntary bankruptcy hearing of February 22 has been left undecided and a final decision postponed:
On February 22, 2007 a status conference was conducted by the Bankruptcy Court concerning the involuntary petition pending against Interplay Entertainment Corp. The status conference was continued to May 24, 2007.
Herve is buying some time. Meanwhile, words has reached us that there are multiple claimants in the lawsuit, and the amount asked of Interplay has been whispered not to be just the 60,000 asked by the employers, but a total of 750,000 USD in combined bills from several claimants. Herve will either have to drum up that money or win the case, otherwise the company will be declared bankrupt.

You know I'm really starting to wonder just what Herve is doing with his time...I mean its clear he's cannot pay them and isnt doing anything to make money so between now and the bankruptcy is the last time he'll have as a "free man" so to speak.

Maybe he browses these very forums wishing he didnt make the mistakes he did...or maybe he doesnt give a crap and keeps himself drunk all day fearing the future.

Sincerely,
The Vault Dweller

lol... God the pain, it's too much... Someone’s grandfather once told me (in a senile state) you have to drive a wooden stake through the heart of the vampire to kill it... Anyone wanna make a cool "youtube" quality video... All we need is a camera, black jack chewing gum, Herve, a wooden stake and a Buffy the Vampire Slayer look-alike... Maybe some booze for afterwards *taps nose twice*

Came across this today. Couldn't help but point out it's continuing appropriateness - 6 years later.

Sorry, but I don't get --- are you saying that Interplay (and Black Isle etc.) owes Bioware money ?

I recall reading about Bioware launching a lawsuit against
Interplay or Black Isle 6 or 7 years ago, but I didn't think
that it had anything to do with the demise or economic failure
of Interplay and Black Isle ??

aries, that comic is from 6 years ago, when Interplay owed Bioware money, he's just bumping it up.

One of PA's best

Are there any public documents on any of this regarding how much the bankruptcy proceedings are for, or is this more in the realm of rumors that the total is in fact 750,000 and not just the 60,000 that was believed earlier.

The original court filing should show this. I'm not an American, so I don't have access to it, but it might be public from the files clerk of the court, even if it's not on the internet.

It is in the realms of rumours, but I think we've shown before that we don't just post wild rumours about Interplay's financial status.

We'll see when the files go public.

because there were problems with people posting crap and deleting it when people replied to it.

i think it was Kharn that removed the delete thing, but i could be wrong.

Then why only the news forum? I don't remember doing it, it seems weird.
