I've never played 4, BoS or 76 and don't really feel like doing so.

I lurked for a while too. Came here originally for the FO2 patch. To me ATM, FO3 is the worst of these games simply because I can't get it to run without crashing for more than a few minutes. If you're into New Vegas modding, don't start making your own mods. It's a horrible addiction. Took me years to stop.

Heyo, I'm Ape Fighting Vehicle, and I'm dropping in to do the ol' polite introduction.

I've been a Fallout fan since the 90's, and been a lover of the post-apoc franchise ever since. I am Swedish, and also grew up with a strong TTRPG tradition, that of which one of the two strong domestic games was also post-apocalypse (which you might have heard of in the current edition being Mutant: Year Zero).
I've glance here a few times through the years, but Verevoof (hi!) gave me a push to finally join up. Other than that' my biggest interaction with this site was to get hold of Killap's Restoration Patch, and that's the only way I've played F2 for years now.

I hope I get to see what gracious good-natured genial grognards of great gaily tastes make up this place!
 
Hej, I only know a tiny bit of Swedish/Sverige or whatever so I will try to say hello In Hinglish. Harrow (joke there somewhere)
The young son of my one-time Swedish gf I had cyber babies to had a real son who was bang into Rift.

Only due to the host situation which tbh I am sure we could sort out but Korin needs a special ritual to summon and not everyone loves tits and dicks on their screens. Besides you wanna post tits to your friend send them to their inbox. I welcome tit pics in my inbox.
 
Yeah plus the GECK will crash a hundred times along with the game making you totally insane.
 
New Vegas doesn't crash on me the way FO3 does. The GECK has been known to. Last time I played, I installed a 4K texture mod that used AI to upscale the vanilla textures. Game looked awesome, but I had some performance (FPS) issues. I've gotten a new GPU since then. Maybe I could try again?
 
I thought it was FNV being difficult when I was modding on my old computer but pretty sure all those mods were using up all my RAM since I hardly had any. Give it a shot GPU man. I am waiting for a bigger drop! I am hearing lots of people talk about it.
 
Using the Mod Manager and script extender seems to b the way to go with NV. And making sure whatever mods you have is in the right order. A little finessing and it solved any problems I had when I slammed in, like, 20-30 mods in it?
 
30 ROFL!!!! How cute! You little ape you! Try 200+ merged mods all jammed so hard up your anus you can't even take a shit. I was asking for those crashes. Begging for them.

I'm not sure I have the energy and drive to run with any of the ideas I might have for FNV so I should be okay, but if I ever start a new game soon, I swear the bug will bite me again.
 
New Vegas got me started modding. I HATED all the preorder stuff being loaded in my inventory, interrupting the game while I was trying to get up from Doc Mitchell's table. Other mods would try to integrate the stuff into leveled lists and distribute them throughout the game, which defeats the purpose. They're supposed to be there to give you a little leg up at the beginning. I still wanted the preorder items at the beginning, in Goodsprings. So, I learned how to mod so I could make 4 dead bodies that looked like the characters in the preorder ads and dropped them around the Goodsprings area.

Same here. I just started modding other mods until I became my own human bean and grew my own mods. It was a shame they all used Dragbody stuff that I could not upload.
 
Hi Billy welcome to the forum. Try not to piss everyone off too much because they will want you to get banned when you do that and I prefer more people instead of less as long as things are chill. I don't think you will have a problem with that though. You seem like you have a good head on your shoulders.
