Hey don't forget Hamburg especially St. Pauli capital city of partying!
And to bavaria:
- language sucks - you could say so I personaly don't speak it cause my roots are in eastern germany ( gladly I don't speak like eastern germans too)
- the beer sucks - I agree with you on bavarian "Weißbier" butt our helles is by far better than loads of kinds of pils (have to admit sopme pils such as astra,becks and pogorausch are equal, butt don'T forget some of them are brewed in bavaria)
- government sucks - now a days you could argue about that butt they do suck (as you might think everywhere else in germany) hard times though
- the pants suck - nothing against some fancy leather pants (butt way to expensive for me so I don't have any)
- we have super tasty food I have to say
don't argue about Ruhr-area and cologne rock

Gdańsk is in Poland. You'd do well to know where it is, since it's the city in which the collapse of the Soviet Union began. Not to mention other important historical events.

I find the words to the Polish National anthem amusing. Although I can't speak Polish, I found them out from my mother.
It opens with:
Poland has not yet perished,
As long as we remain,
What the foe by force has seized,
Sword in hand we'll gain.
And then goes on about the times when they were fighting with Napoleon. Historical stuff.
Which brings the image to mind of a very serious Pole singing "I Will Survive". My reaction greatly annoys my Polish friends. But then the Aussie anthem is probably one of the worst, both in lyrics and music (although it's fun to play).
