IPLY facing lawsuits

It's not only the employees that are thinking about suing IPLY/Herve Caen concerning the situation that Herve has put IPLY in, also the investors over at Raging Bull forum are thinking about it, here's what's been posted:
but what I do know is that if Interplay folds, I'm starting a class action lawsuit against Caen (at one point I had over a million shares, sold 300 and some thousand but I still have a lot invested, a lot to lose, and I feel I should have made something out of this if Herve was acting in Interplay's best interest). I think the only way Interplay can go bankrupt is if Herve wanted it that way. He could have sold the company long ago. I'm betting Atari would be willing to buy Interplay for 50 million right now (which would be 50 cents a share), heck, Atari could make that back on just BGDAIII. So, if INterplay folds, I'll be checkign on this board to see who else wants in on the class action lawsuit. I'm going to have a financial lawyer investigate all the dealings with Titus, including the ridiculously weird move of Titus investigating Caen and taking 9 million shares away, then selling those shares on the cheap, 5 cents a share to Herve. Something seems pretty fishy there to me. But there was lots more "fishy" stuff going on and I'll be going after Herve for what I feel I should have made if he bankrupts Interplay. Hopefully it doesn't come to that as I don't want to have to personally chase Herve down in France and throw him back on a plane to the US, where i can prosecute the snake.
Snazzy, I say you guys do it now! Fry the weasle!

Damned Frenchie, that fellow is most unsporting :)

Would there be that much money left by now to be sued for? I've kind of lost track of what is going on now with Interplay and its little problem of bankruptcy

hehehehe

i hope they go with it sue herve for all money he has plus all extra he can get for selling his house car and all his other shit then see herve spend 20 years in jail.

that will teach that prick to not stuff himself and screw others!

And in prison, others will do the stuffing and screwing...

ok thats just silly - and the success rate of that even starting is lower then for game mods to finnish - and don't we see those threats so often it could be called spam (rather then actual news)?

"Go down, IPLY!" - exclaimed the Gamer - "Go down already, you scum"

This is sooo dramatic...

wow, 50 million dollars for BGDA3? That must be a really popular game...

Yeah, sounds unlikely to me too.
Why would Atari buy out IPLY at $0.50 a share when just a few days ago (the 21st) shares were at $0.048?
(I'm betting they're at something similar now)
Mebbe if Caen were at the helm they would, but not otherwise.

It's not a bad deal when you think about the licenses they would get..

Yeah, but they could get them at a much lower price than that.
I seriously doubt that any well-managed company would pay ten times the market value for a crippled company.
(that's not to say that I think Atari is well-managed, I actually know sod all about their management)

Bah, much ado about nothing. I don't see how any such lawsuit could succeed. Herve's only crime is being an inept, overpaid moron, and unfortunately, there are no laws against morons.

This guy's an idiot who deserves to lose every penny he's invested. He obviously has invested in a business and a company he knows nothing about - $50MM for Interplay when they could buy the stock now for a tenth of that amount - if they even wanted to? Or when they could pick over the licenses they want at a bankruptcy sale? The Raging Bull forums are hilarious - these guys are totally clueless.

Grifman

This guy thinks Atari would make $50 mil PROFIT from BGDAIII... no wonder IPLY still has stockholders, if they're all that damned stupid.

I'm pretty sure they are. It's like Caen hinself as Captain Clueless and his dimwitted little pirate buddies all aboard the one sinking ship with the sharks circling and the Jaws theme playing loudly in the background.

Yup, he's an utter idiot. BGDA3 would have to sell 2.5M copies at $60 a unit just to make Atari $50M. That's not counting development cost, PR, packaging, etc. - just the money that returns from the sales of the unit. If BGDA didn't sell nearly that much, and BGDA2's sales were slower than the original's..

Interplay Lawsuits

I have come to terms with actually posting a message as it could be harmful to many.... (don't ask because I won't explain)

I need to say something though and help set the record straight,...

Yes the investors will be out quite a bit but what about the employees, some of whom are facing eviction and credit issues due to bounced paychecks and being paid only sporadically(they are still a paycheck behind).

OH and let us not forget the unemployment claims filed that now have to be paid back because Herve actually came up with cash to pay the employees something.

Benefits are non-existent, imagine standing in a dentist office and being told you have no insurance to cover the expensive procedure you are about to undergo, then a call to the insurance says the company (IP) terminated more than 30 days ago!

Or paying full price for medication that is necessary for daily living.

If IP were to bounce back today, there are ways to recoup... there were several projects in the works when cancelled, some almost ready to go to production. However, without a staff, or a place to put them there can be no recovery. Another pay check is due today(due to Mon holiday)so we shall see what the cards show...

thanks Pope Viper....

It does get worse but I don't want to cause any potential harm to those involved.

WE shall see what today holds, when the few remaining employees show up to get paid.....

Good luck, keep us posted on that check due today, i`ll try to dig something on the real situation tonight. Herve is counting with the bank holidays to have some extra time, i guess, until he files the quarter report with the SEC, we`ll see what happens.
