IQ test

I should set a cutom tite
I saw an IQ test that seems to be very trustworthy. This is rarely seen, because all the other IQ tests I've seen on internet are completely unreliable, because the creation of an IQ test requires a lot of work. I'm still not sure if the IQ test I saw is really trustworthy.

I started this thread, hoping that as many people as possible would do the test and post their results, so that I'll determine whether the test gives inflated or deflated results. Also, please post your results on any other reliable IQ tests you've done (and post the name of the test).

Here is the test I was talking about.

How, exactly, would the results of people on this site be able to tell you if the test is reliable? There's an inherent selection bias here, so you won't be able to tell much at all from the average. Not to mention that 'IQ' is a horribly limited and flawed metric anyway.

For that matter, why do you think it's more reliable than other tests anyway?

Also, it only looks at how you're able to correlate different graphic representation with other graphic representation. Which is a ridiculously limited part of IQ anyway.

It won't tell me much, but at least I'll see if everybody turns out to be "one out of 500". And, if I get lucky, someone who did a clinical test might appear.

Because someone told me so.

I doubt it's accurate at all. It only measures one form of reasoning (visual).

Also, I got bored at question 25 and just clicked random stuff the rest of the way. It told me I had an IQ/Index of 120. Go figure.

The score of an iq test, a real one, should not be totally dependent on how many questions you got right. It should reflect how well you did compared to many many other test takers. If you answer to 2 questions out of 100 correctly, but 100.000.000 people only got one answer right, you can call yourself brilliant.

Yes, of course. This test has been designed by a Ph.D in psychometrics who created Cerebrals (a very high IQ group), so I think that it has to be at least a little correct. And, according to a friend, it's very accurate.

Nope, it measures working memory and pattern recognition too, among other things. 120 IQ SD15 means top 9%, which is a very good score. And I don't know how many of the other questions you would've guessed.

Yes yes, but all based on visual recognition. Plenty people can't do this sort of thing but are very good at mathematic or lingual patterns. This is a very limited view of IQ.

Not to mention that the term "inteligence" isnt even really cleary defined. All kind of tests have limits somewhere which will only cover the kind of "ingeligence" which they defined but that leaves out a lot of other fields. Like certain social skills for example.
