Is 3-Dog a terrible moral guardian?

I think he is. Honestly, how the hell does he know everything you've done in the game? What is he? God? Jeez man I like him but at the same time I don't like him. I hate how just seems to be omnipresent and always watching you. Thoughts?

Three Dog is Fallout 3 "Instant Gratification" system, it is there to make the player feel good about themselves when they do good, because that is how games reward the players for being good boys and girls.

If you're playing as an evil character and you get tired of Three Dog insulting you then you just don't listen to GNR or just blow Three Dog's brain out and that is it.

The basic idea about the "radio DJ reports on what you've been up to as part of the news" is a good idea. It makes sense that there would be radio (since fixing up the tech here isn't too hard), and it makes sense that there would be news on the radio (since people want to hear what happens). It even makes sense that activities the player engages in are part of said news.

Like most things about Fallout 3, New Vegas fixes it. In this case by:
- Not intimating that the broadcaster has personal knowledge of what you did, instead of simply reporting what witnesses are saying.
- Restricting to things that would plausibly have witnesses.
- Not making the entire thing about you, since you know what you did (I mean, if Moira writes a book, the report should be about Moira not the PC, no matter how much you helped.)
- Avoiding praise or condemnation of the player character specifically.

Those the news guy in Fallout 4 still blame you if you do something bad ? Is it possible to do something bad in Fallout 4 ?
We might come to regret that 3dogs could blame you for somthing...

Travis in FO4 only has one version of anything he reports, as most of the quests end with the involved parties leaving or dying he always reports it as it being a Mystery wether they died or succeeded, this is specially apparent with the Big Dig. To think that even 3Dog was better.... those words don't feel right...

there's a lot of that. By the time we're finally cursed with FO5, mark these words: We will be comparing it unfavorably to FO4, well, the sad/happy-face-dialogue-meme allready predicted this, but joke aside - it will happen that way :I

Although, if i read you well, it doesn't sound like the player character actions aren't the only thing that matter in Travis life, unlike 3dog, which is kinda good news...

Actually Travis spends most of his time being an stuttering bufoon on the radio until you do his linear quest where killing people makes him a smooth radio host for some reason. He also takes time to talk about you directly and he always implies that while "no one knows who did it" he suspects it's you.
