Is Bethesda baiting the console modding community with Remastered Skyrim?

Knight In Leather Armor

Badger Nutsack
So Fallout 4 console mods was a shitfest. I mean all I tried to do was download mods and enjoy myself as much as I could with Fallout 4, and I kinda did. But the constant flame wars between the PC Elitests and the Console Elitests is extremely distracting. But now with Skyrim Remastered coming out and it being free on PC, I'm starting to wonder if Bethsoft is trying to bait people into buying it for the mods.

We all know mods bring in TONS of replay value, so I'm wondering if Bethesda wants to show that to the console community in hopes they'll buy the shit out of it.

I mean, if console mods weren't in it I don't really think the Bethsoft community, as gullible as it is, wouldn't pay much attention to it if it was only new graphics.

What else should it be?
I wonder why even bother with patching the PC version with this so-called remaster though.
BTW, what, 'console moddding community' is now a thing and can be separated from 'pc modding community'?

Mainly cause the PC Modding community generally hates the Console Modding community. That's what separates them mostly in my opinion.

What a lot of console gamers don't seem to get is that many if not most of the mods for Skyrim and Fallout 4 need script extenders. At lest the more popular mods. Unfortunately programs like SKSE are third party programs that Microsoft and Sony don't recognize for consoles. If only the more hard headed console gamers would realize that then I don't think you would be seeing such backlash. Also, it not cool to steal other peoples hard work and take credit for it. I fear it is only going to get worse with Skyrim Remastered.

Are there that many mods that require F4SE, though? I haven't noticed any so far, but then I didn't really install any in-depth mods, either.

Many of the in-depth mods like the weather mods and gameplay mods need script extenders. Some good mods like weapon mods don't but many of the popular ones do. Especially most of the popular mods for Skyrim.

But when you don't?

Don't complain because there are reasons why modding on the console is so limited.

I've always been a console gamer, but I've always also understood why our games look worse and the like. It really irked me when I saw console players harassing FO4 modders to release things that simply can't work on consoles.

All I want is fixes to bethesda's awful clipping issues when building, a few armour and gun reskins and maybe one of the companion mods (if it could work properly) I understand massive quests, reskins of the whole game etc are completely out of the question for consoles.

Skyrim, sure, but Fallout 4? Apart from some hotkey mods I have not found a single mod that actually uses F4SE yet, but that may be because it's still pretty early.

Ignorance, always ignorance!
