I don't mean to pick on this guy, but it is these kinds of responses that promote the idea of this place being full of the outer-fringe of hardcore Fallout nerdom.

So? It's a Fallout fansite, not a randomgameinpseudofalloutsetting fansite.

I'm looking at the general attitude of this forum and saying "Why completely throw away the chance to enjoy a game?", even if Fallout is different, it seems like without Bethesda making FO3, the series is dead in the water.

And why not? There's a lot of other luxurious products that can be enjoyed instead.

It is tough to hate hardcore on that which we have not truly seen, other then the previews/trailer that have been released. Sure we could shoot the shit and analyze each detail of whats available down to the subatomic level, but the cold hard truth is its still too early to truly hate this game.

I understand it LOOKS like Oblivion with guns, and I know Bethesda's recent track record sucks dick, and I know they are going to dumb this game down for the console players, but final judgement can't really be cast until we see some hands on gameplay.

That being said, I bet it will suck.

Excellent point which I think sums up the whole SA article deal. It's Sturgeon's Law in action. Look hard enough at the archive of an open forum with a history and you'll be pretty incompetent if you can't pull out enough OOC dirt to smear onto the forum as a whole.
