Isometric Camera Point Of View

0 TC's completed for oblivion so far and 0 for morrowind as well. A few small scale new lands have been created but they aren't true conversions.

With a few years work it would be possible to recreate Fallout 1. Fallout 2 is to big and to do something completely different wont happen. The modding community is huge but for the most part amateur, uncommitted and has a relatively low attention span.

Even in really experienced communities like half life, etc ...the only TC's you see are multiplayer and a few single player that aren't on a large scale.

Its probably possible to lock the camera into ISO or adjust it even more then it is. Making the interface look similar to the origional games isn't very likely. You can recreate whats there but as far as i know you can't add things to it. So you wont have all the buttons you had and there wont be descriptive text on screen either. It would be cool to see someone make a fallouty version of whats there though. (by "whats there" I mean compass, ammo count, etc.)

I think pretty much any modding community is relatively non-focused, although the Bridge Commander group seems to be really dedicated to putting new functions/ships into it.

the thing is, game engine as it is aimed at showing us lots of stuff at the horizon
which adds an immense immersion and exploration part (e.g. you travel, see something on the horizon, wanna go and check it out)
so, honestly im not sure it its worth bringing F3 into iso, therefore removing this immersion part

on the other hand, interface itself needs serious overhaul of course (e.g., health compass etc done in fallout-style)

also, cameras are f*ked up seriously, they reset after sitting on the chairs or exiting VATS, what would be nice is like 3-4 preset cameras, from 1st person view to good overshoulder views flowing into full 3rd person view

to be honest, as a purist myself (yeah yeah) I would vote for F3 with:
3-4 polished camera presets from 1st person to overshoulder to 3rd person
fully turn-based combat
lots of polishes like UI, char animations, weather, quests, F1&F2 weapons items and armor, tougher enemies (killing supermuts with 10mm pistol wtf) etc etc
