Can't. It's fucking annoying. My monitor is as bright as it can get, but I often notice it's indeed very dark. I always have to turn up the brightness in FPS before playing. I forgot it the first time played Battlefield:Vietnam. Try to spot those gooks when it's dark AND they're hidden in the grass.
 
Watch out for all the creepy red eyes, Odin looks like he could make you disappear just by thinking about it.
 
For all intents and purposes...

And he's hot *drool* Almost enough to make me go gay.
