Ah, a lot of crap really. Yet another means of supporting nationalistic myths and pride, but of a fallen regime that the world and Russia is better off without. Not to say we want to go back to the Tsars of course.

How about revise it- call it national day, shoot fireworks, have a parade, make giant floats filled with helium gas with all your favorite Russia cartoons and characters. Could even have an Ivan the Terrible float. Maybe parade around with Lenin in his glass box, just to show the guy off. Then you can burn all the effigies as a response to personality cults.

I think you could make a great parade out of this.

They should make Lenin into a puppet to scare the kids. He rises out of the glass box to get all the naughty children who havent listened to their parents. Now THATS marketing communism!
 
Its starting to sound like a Russian Halloween parade...just a clever marketing tool! Capitalists...what WILL they think of next!
