List of all Total Conversion and major mods

PegasusOrgans

First time out of the vault
While it is true that you can find most, if not all by thoroughly searching the forums,
it would be nice to have a more central list of them for easy reference. This is true
especially for games like Fallout that have many fans worldwide making mods in
their native languages. I'm sure that with enough attention and interest, those mod
makers would like to release an English version eventually.

I ask that people only add mods that are in a playable (even if buggy) state, or ones
in active development.

It's a shame that Fallout of Nevada doesn't seem like it will be translated in english anytime soon.

Indeed, especially because it's absolutely awesome and would definitely deserve a bigger audience. The quest design in particular is one of the best ones I've ever seen in a RPG.

Last Hope is really impressive piece of work with great premise - large world to explore, intricate quests, or innovative mechanics here and there. I've been sucked in and hooked really hard; there's mysterious past of your character haunting you from very beginning, harsh and cruel world where you have hard time to find decent weapon at start, and such. The bad thing is that I've played version 1.06 and either by messing up something during installation or by the mod itself, city of Canville was full of bugs. Crashes, bad graphics glitches through whole screen.. Had to stop playing there, sadly. The good thing is that The Forgotten Knight haven't abandoned his work, there's a couple of updates already, so perhaps it's in much better shape now.
Anyway, hats off to the author. Such a huge TC mod created by a single person, that's really mind-blowing!

The link for Last Hope seems to be broken, is it just me or is AtomicGamer down for everyone?

Those of you who ahve Fallout 3 might be interested in Fallout Zero, which is a work in progress.

I haven't played it but it seems promising based on the description.

THE STORY:
===========
Our hero and his/her father have been living in the basement of their bombarded house for the
past two months, since the Great War broke out. With supplies running low, their
only chance for survival is to find a way inside the city’s Vault. Join our
hero and discover a world of survivors crippled by the fatal lack of food and
drinking water, ubiquitous radiation, an imminent nuclear winter, and
humanity’s inability to come to terms with the consequences of its own deeds. Their
fate, along with your own, is in your hands.

The mod focuses on solving different tasks dependent on the main character’s (mainly
non-combat related) attributes. This mod is not meant for FPS players, although it’s
not always possible to avoid combat (however, ammo and decent weapons are hard
to come by). Tip: Don’t try to kill your enemies as soon as you lay eyes on
them. Your foes are stronger than you right from the start, so you should keep
in mind that the enemy of your enemy can offer a much needed helping hand.

Based on your reaction, the world of Fallout Zero will change as a whole: everything is
interconnected. The main storyline will always give you at least two
possibilities to choose from, with every one of your decisions leading to a
completely different result.

For Fallout 2 oblivion and shattered destiny, my computer keeps saying it can't load the text fonts, what do I do? I'm on Windows 10 and I got my copy of fallout from steam, not the disk

This is usually related to the language version of your Fallout 2 copy. For example, if you run the german version and a mod has been made with the english version, it *will* make problems at some point. Usually you can circumvent that with renaming the /data/text/*language*/ folder from the mod into the language version you're using (/english/ -> /german/ etc).

Can you guys update the list, please? I'm making an ultimate Collection of all Classic Fallouts for later use.
