Just like NVN i did love the first Stronghold game! But i took a quick peak at the second game and went "No way!" :lol:

Also if you don't mind older games you should really try out KKND! The second game us quite good but the first one feels better. I think there was a version called KKND Extrem and it changed that units could lvl's up a bit and minor stuff like that. Not sure if it changed anything els but i remember liking it more than the original KKND due to that.

I also very much love the combat system of the Total War games. Medieval 2 is one of my favorite strategy games yet.
 
Men of War is pretty awesome as far as Real Time Strategy games goes. The details as far as units and weapons goes is pretty cool.
 
Hmm i removed men of war from my wish list but i might just pay $3.36 for it if i can be arsed to put some cash over to my other account tomorrow :P

I think yes, its a game that can make you rage a lot though, as it really isnt easy to play. Though, the game is always fair to you. There is always a way to deal with the guards. And the map design and objectives are really cool. I can recomend every Commandos game, except the first person shooter they made ...

There was also Robin Hood: The Legend of Sherwood, which had very similar gameplay. I never played it but it looked interesting back then.

Desperados Wanted Dead or Alive was pretty much the same but with a western theme.

Commandos was at least for me a big thing back then. And it was also somewhat popular. It really saw quite a few "clones" to say that. But I dont think that any game had really the quality of Commandos.
 
Commandos was indeed a great game! From what i remeber we didn't have the game but just the demo and i think i went trough it more times than i care to addmit.
 
Have you played the Command and Conquer series it's a old series but is still quite fun to play and even has people still playing them.
