Mad Max "Gameplay" Trailer

Seems like an Uncharted wannabe machismo fest with post-apocalyptic setting stapled on top. And that's fine! But I doubt it'll have any rpg elements beyond how to customise your, I'm certain, bad-ass shotgun, if that. I hope the story will be interesting so I might ease through it or watch a decent let's play.
 
But as far as I know it was never said to be an RPG anyway, no?

I don't think that's really true (and it would be easy to provide examples), but the entertainment industry gatekeepers promote that idea.

If you want to see something truly appalling though, there's an old U.S. release version of the original Mad Max with the Australian dialogue overdubbed by American accents. Watching that is like stabbing yourself in the head with rusty scissors. How that ever came to be is a story I don't even want to know.

That's the original theatrical release. It was done because the studio who distributed it in the U.S. didn't think American people could understand Mel Gibson's uber-thick Aussie accent. lmao

Subsequent home video releases restored the original Australian dialogue.
 
I do listen to the American dub once in a while because it just cracks me up. The way the voice actor read the Night Rider lines in particular.. it's like I'm watching a cartoon adaptation of Mad Max! :V

See, there are people who work at "the studio" who are that stupid. And they have power. That's what people have to go through to get their projects greenlighted.
