Sorry for the resurrect, but Ï thought people might be interested in knowing that the English demo is out. It hasn't been announced officially, so it might be a leak. However, since there's a thread on the paradox forums about this, and no admins or developers have responded, I guess it's ok to link to it.

    Here's the link

edit: it seems Paradox has responded on twitter, saying that the demo has been leaked, and they hope people will enjoy it.

Hey, man, thank you very much!! :P
Last time I cheched, there was no date for the releasing of this demo.
I'm at work now, but as soon as I get home, I'll try this out!

Majesty 2 is out in stores.
Heard the Hero AI is a bit on the bad side though.
Seeing your hero walk past monsters instead of killing them can be frustrating.

I thought I'd bump this thread since I've played the demo quite a bit - enough to convince me not to buy the game, unfortunately.

There are quite a few things to like about Majesty 2, particularly in the area of how the developers managed to reproduce and enhance the gameplay from the original.

The killer for me is that they completely ignored the sim aspects of the original, so the gameplay is meaningless. In the original, your heroes did things like play music at taverns for tips, visit casinos and brothels, visit gardens, enter gladitorial games for prize money and experience, explore, and plant flowers. Now they do very little except fight, and the game, lacking all character, quickly becomes meaningless.

It's too bad, really, but I'd still rather play Majesty 1.
