But... maybe... i remember something... if my memories are correct the Vic stop talking to me. (I cannot start the dialog whit him. Clicking on speech dint do anything.)
 
@MIB88, you have a small animation problem on the broken2 map. Main character stopping in the middle of an animation, stopping an action before being finished, not walking all the way to where you pushed, that sort of problem.
It's the hcchuck script causing it. In the critter_p_procedure you have an animate forever command without "reg_anim_func(3, 0);" afterwards to end it. Now I'm no expert on this, but I have a feeling you can't (or rather shouldn't) run an animation forever without stops in a part of the script that gets regularly updated (ie critter_p_proc and map_update_p_proc).
 
I didn't add any of my own changes to that script. If I ever modified that script, it was a fix from Seraph or @killap. I'll add the code you suggest. Is that the code just keeping him "sleeping" until the player comes within range?

Yes I think so, but I honestly don't know the purpose of that whole first section that was added in the critter procedure. It's not in the current RP script nor is it in vanilla. I'm guessing it was to plug a hole somewhere, but don't know under what conditions it's needed.
 
@Dretnoth, that file will be included.

Got stuck on something silly. I did the quest for Lydia in Vault City, bringing her the booze and beer. Yet, she does not take those items from my inventory. I get the experience. But I keep the items. I was using the script from the RP. I have since tried with two other sets of code and I still can't get the beer and booze out of my inventory. Anyone else having problems with this?
 
Sounds like that old bug where items that were next to a bag in your inventory wouldn't get removed.
Not sure if the bags have been removed in the megamod (like it was in the RP), if not that would be the first thing to check. Not sure if some other item can block it, but I guess you could change position of the booze in your inventory and see if that helps.
 
Ugh! Yeah, I had forgotten all about that bug. No, there is at least one bag in the MM... and it's in my inventory now. Thank you.
 
Hi is updating still in progress?
I want ask about small things like if in random encouters like
-alkohol delers can have moor in stack
-or traders can have more variete of stuffs.
 
Yes, I'm still around. I lost over a week from my playtesting due to being busy with work, though. I am currently playing through Broken Hills to make sure that you can get Marcus in your party. After that, I must check that Skynet is recruitable and working properly. After that I will be able to make a release.

I will also add the above (about increasing stocks and variety of items) to my list of enhancements for the future.

Fallout was originally supposed have fine crafting system right?
Something like kill Rat, then pick it or use skill on it to get raw meat, then process that meat.. using fire pit or oven... Or montage items on work table.. right?
Will be possible to do that? Or only if you have army of programmers?


Second. Can you make lees scorpions to have small tails in inventory (5 ponds). If that mess whit scripts to mutch can it be craft able into scorpion poison potions? (Small 1, big 4-10) and then those asked for scripts?

3. Bug: Dint know if is reported but i have game freezing on fight end agains Tyrel in Den. When the fight end the winer gang start move to out, picking stuff, and in few second game froze. And error mesage is "Failed to load something in memory or respond in memory" I bipasing that by save game right after enter to end fight mode. Then load.
(Win7-64, dc5700S, Eset)

4.Bug: when i talk to the giant rat in gecko for 1. time but after i optymalize power plant i got Error speech option.
-The second error i got in option 3. after i receive the medallion.

5. dont know if is this error but if i speak to the repair guy (i forgot name) in gecko after i opymalize power plant and have barter on 100 and ask him to put scope on hunter rifle the cost is 0 (And is mi 1. upgrade no plasma transformer has been taken from storage)

6. if i remember correctly then in random encounter whit slavers, the liberated invisible slaves picking stuff from ground.

First off: Never apologize for not speaking English as well as a native speaker. At least you have made an effort to learn/speak an additional language. Besides, your English is fine.

I don't think Fallout 2 was originally supposed to have a crafting system. All attempts to add/refine a crafting system came way later. But, the good news is that the crafting system really is not so hard. With the on_death script, any kind of component can be added to any critter when it dies. And Mr. Fixit! really is easy to update. It doesn't take an army of programmers. It requires people who are willing to create artwork, though. And it requires a fair amount of thinking things through to make sure that the things that are added truly have a purpose.

As for the scorpion tails, I guess I could modify it. There are two sizes of scorpions in the game. An easy change. As for making poison potions, scorpion tails are already components for the "poisonous substance" that you can create if you are Hakunin's apprentice.

Are you using the latest Megamod? I fixed that freeze after the gang fight was fixed a while ago. You are talking about the gang fight in the Den Residential area, right? If you still get that freeze every time, then maybe you don't have the latest version of the mod. And, that is the thing to look out for: errors that happen EVERY time you play... not just those that happen every now and then.

Regarding Skeeter in Gecko, remember he will give you a free upgrade if you got the part he wanted.

Regarding the freed slaves, they will pick up items from the ground and loot bodies before you talk to them. Once they are freed (turn invisible), they will not pick up loot anymore.

I am still adding a bunch of things to the Megamod. Many of them are things that may not be readily noticeable, as they are additions from the RP (as well as Endocore's additions to the RP). Still, while I am behind schedule, I still plan on releasing version 2.46 as soon as I can.

About that freezing. Something like that happens in NCR. when i wipe out the slavers, but dint pick loot, free slaves. And they run out, but stop running start to walk to landing items, start picking and game freeze.
maybe all i witness is based on mi pc.

I made the fix already for the Den Residential area and for the Slaver Camp. I forgot about the slaver area at NCR. (Basically, the game crashes whenever a critter has something in its inventory and then it is removed from the map without first removing and deleting the inventory item.) I will fix that for the next release.

Apparently everything is installed properly but I keep getting the "Error saving game! Unable to save error" when I try to save (Fresh install).
Installed 2.45.3 --> error Added 2.45.4--> error.
Tried with GOG version, physical disc, and even a very old torrent and I keep getting the same shit.

Could it be compatibility issues (I use Win8)? If I try running it in XP mode I get anoher error (something about compatibility mode error)

Your data or savegame directory may be write protected, check properties for that.
Or check your directories for the same folder and file names in differing cases, such as Data and data. It probably isn't an issue in Windope but it will happen in Linux and causes that problem.

If that doesn't work and you have sfall installed open ddraw.ini and uncomment the "ConsoleOutputPath=" line, this will put error information in the file named there.

Running MM install process without this dll mess the game, causing unable to save.

Uninstall curren F2-MM or optionaly use register cleaner to
Install homogeneous F2
put msvcr71.dll in f2 folder

Optional: Make reserve of F2 clean install (U will not need to uninstall, install, again when 2.46 come out. just delete, copy clean f2, install mm)

Install MM (Follow instructions)

PS: I spent many hours solving the unable save problem. Finding that there is post saying that this file missing.

Well, I got it to work properly. Somehow...

After beating the game I was thinking of using cheats for the lulz, but none of the editors work for me (Win8)

I can edit SPECIAL and XP via Cheat Engine, but the specific editors for F2 refuse to change values (I always keep everything the same when loading). I will try reinstalling in C/ or any other folder besides Program Files
 
Keep trying from a couple of save games and eventually it works.

I have the same problem as France. I've tried to load from two diffrent saves from about the same time in the game about 20 times and still it Fades to black screen. I wonder if im doing something wrong? You don't happen to know the cause of this? Installed the game on a diffrent computer and the same thing happen there aswell so it migth be a common problem?
Or maybe im just stupid and missed something:)

Also i want to thank all you modders for the awesome work your doing! I had a wet dream as a kid and you made it come true!
Nvm got it worki'n! Pressed f1 when black then saved at a new spot. exited and loaded, then it worked.:)

Got a problem, i cannot enter the BOS elevator because i don't have the acces codes, after they let me join. I can enter by pressing 2 but i can't leave. am i missing a text file? Is there a workaround?

Hi mates,

Installed F2 again.. with megamod - again. Running 2.45.4 - started from new character, when I enter temple of Arroyo I get:

I only added f2hires 4.1.8 and did read through topic but to be honest, I couldn't find anything - can you please suggest what to do?

I'm running W10 x64

Also I tried with custom character and default ones. I do not have any previous save games from F2, so I cannot check if it happens in different areas. All I have is starting the game and crash when I enter the temple :/
