MIB88 MegaMod 2.35.2 released

This isn't going to make my computer start on fire is it? Cause it looks pretty darn awesome and I'm about ready to quit my job so I can fully explore it. :crazy:
 
Just, please, don't hype this up. There are still a lot of bugs with this version. I have been slowly going through them while adding new stuff. If I waited to release a version that was free of bugs... well, let's just say it would take a while. As it is, I don't plan on having a 'final' version for a long time.

Okay..many thanks as that did work. Before this, I also found that IF I boosted brightness to near maximum I only had the "lines" in the shade or the dark.

BTW
1) I have always played the MM without the weather option as I always have the message:"Shader functions not available" at startup, although I have not tampered with anything.Is there anything that I can do about this?
2) Although you have said nothing, I take it that F2se is incompatible with 2.35 now(as opposed to 2.34) as I do like to play around with possible responses rather than make totally new chars( I never learn :()

ADDENDUM....I decided to do a new F2 install and then add 2.35.2.
I have done so and NONE of my saves work at all. All crash with "application error" which then leads to a "breakpoint error".
I can still use the saves on 2.35.1 with the patch and will reinstall F2 again to verify this as this folder's contents have morphed so often that I wish to be certain.

1. Get rid of the weather.ini file if you don't want weather options and the weather mod error at the start of the game.
2. I don't know or care if the cheat programs work.

As for your addendum, what save games are you talking about? Saved games from 2.35? 2.35.1? Something before 2.35? Also, there is a thread for technical issues in the modding forum. It would be best to continue this there.

2. A "cheat" is something you use to gain an unfair advantage
in any situation. However my point was that I was using it to explore what requirements sare needed for various options e.g. you need a decent charisma and speech to gain the barter training from silk and I had not noticed this before in vanilla F2 and thought that it was a bug so i checked using F2se and it was not(this char uses more luck than charisma) That is only "cheating" if you keep any changes and whatever gains you make in using them.

While i do appreciate your efforts in making the Mod (and we all do..bugs or no bugs) if you think that F2se is only useful as a cheat then I beg to differ & vehemently so.


The 2.35.1 saves do NOT work in 2.35.2. However they do work in 2.35.1 + yr patch for which i am grateful. Why? I have no idea but all loads crashed with an "Application error">>"breakpoint error" whatever they are and that is without any F2se involvement as I deleted any saves made by using it as I ALWAYS do.

I take it that the coarse gentleman in Vic's home and who gives you the whereabouts of Colly in 2.35.1 has been removed in 2.35.2? I never managed to explore it before 2.35.2.
 
My game is crashing upon leaving Arroyo for the first time. I deleted the data file, and draged and dropped all the files into the folder( from the rar file: Megamod_v2.35_20090722), then ran the RUNME file. I have tried uninstalling the game and deleting the folder, and installing the game and mod again with the same result. Any idea whats going on??????? :crazy:
 
Random Encounters?

Level 9 in 2.35.1 + patch and i am concerned about the vastly reduced encounter numbers . I have been looking for the "alien blaster" trader for some hours and despite quartering the area several times have yet to see him even once while the highwaymen and robber encounters are really quite few
( 2 in some 80 squares)

Is there an easy way to increase encounter probability?
(and i do NOT care if this is considered impure Fallout 2)

Yes that fixed the problem with leaving the village, but I made it to New Reno, and quick saved at New reno arms. Shortly after it crashed, and now when I try to load that game it crashes everytime. :(
 
Might this be a bug? I am going to vault city with VIC, Klint and Sulik. I save game and load everything works. But when I say to my NPCs that they should wait there and then I save and try to load the game crashes? Anyone else having similar?
