mis-core_D damaged file on CD

First time out of the vault
Can somebody please E-mail to me this file: mis-core_D,,,,,
it is located in the 3.disk core in win zip format,,,size 3,614 I think.
This file Is damaged on my Fallout Tactics BOS cd,so I can"t go on with game after the 12 mission,,,at the enter in the Delta Bunker...


Please help........!!!!!!!!

Goddamnit! I had the exact same problem like a year ago or so when I was playing Fallout Tactics for the very first time! And I actually bought a new copy of Fallout Tactics because I couldn't find a solution to this problem anywhere (yeah, I'm nuts, but I'm also nuts about Fallout Tactics - I'm probably the only one around here). I know there are some copies of Fallout Tactics that have a third disc with corrupted data and I know you can get an official patch for it somewhere. But: I tried it and it didn't work for me.

Here is the solution I came up with:
Make a save game in Bunker Gamma or in the wasteland, somewhere around Bunker Delta
Uninstall Fallout Tactics (your save games will not be deleted)
Install Fallout Tactics again but choose the smallest install
Now play Fallout Tactics again and load the save game
Now go to Bunker Delta
The computer will ask you to insert disc 3: most of the time I tried this, I succeeded to enter Bunker Delta
I usually play for a while with this small install and I make several save games, but the framerate (which is poor already) is terrible with a small install, so after a while I just uninstall the game again and I choose the complete install again
This is not a certified solution, but it usually works fine for me
It's time-consuming, though

yea I notesed that, I have a 2.4 P4 with a 800mhz FSB, 500mb ddr400, with a 64mb Gforce4Ti and *looks at everyone drooling* and its MINE!! STAY AWAY! im good with the sniper rife! I am warning you!
umn yea anyway on some of the missions it did slow down quite a bit. and I am on the full install...
 
which file in the arcive is it that is damaged? if might be easyer to send that file then you repack it your end

its to big to email, so unless you have somwhere I can upload it to...

I did find this in the patch readme though:
CD ERRORS
----------

Symptom:
It appears that many CDs had a corruption problem on CD3 during duplication.
These bad CDs are the cause of missing images for items etc for some users.
Vehicles and doors will also not appear if you have one of the CDs from this bad
batch. Naturally we are disappointed that this has occurred.

Fix:
Either exchange your copy for another from the store you bought it at, or send
the copy to interplay for replacement. Also calling tech support is a good
idea, to confirm that this is your problem.

For those who can afford to download it, a separate patch is available of around
85MB that will replace the corrupted file.

I have download this biiig patch,,but it didnt help,,,and ot took me for nearly 8 hours to get it..

The idea for uploading sounds good,,but I don"t have exsperiance with this,,how would you do it?....

ok I find ICQ on one my disks with programs.I have install it,,,and register it and all those craps,,,,and it gave me this number:
335484212 .That should be my ICQ number I guess...

what now,,,if you sent me it how do I recice it?

I don't think the file you mention is actually damaged. I think it doesn't always install properly onto your harddisc, but it can't really be damaged or else the patch you tried would've worked (the patch for the corrupted third disc). That's why I said to use that trick with a small install: that way file 'mis-core_D.bos' doesn't get installed onto your harddisc and the computer has to read the cd instead. It usually works fine for me, but you say it didn't work for you. Well, seems there is no other solution than to somehow get you a copy of file 'mis-core_D.bos'...

I've made a copy of that file (because I'm a nice guy and all) and it's ready to go. It's only 3,52MB. Can't I just send it to your e-mail or something as an attachment?

no blade, I just had a look at that patch myself.
it only has one file.

"This patch is meant for those consumers who are
experiencing problems with CD 3 while installing
the game. This patch installs a single file,
'spr-sprites_0.bos', into your game's install
directory."

i know,,,i have big problem when I start to play game,,there was no pictures of items,,no cars,,no doors,,locks,,,total shit...Then I download this patch you are talking about,and it fixed it...
But this mis-core_D,,,it really drives me crazy....did you sent me it by ICQ 335484212,,,,,,,

So, I'm right about the patch, right? It's not the right patch for zeksx's problem.

Okay, I've tried it again. This time I've sent you three different versions: the normal file (3,52MB), a zip-version (2,60MB) and one in rar-format (2,59MB). I hope at least one of them reached you, and I hope you have got the right tools.

If, however, this doesn't work, have you considered just bringing it back to the retailer and asking for another copy? I mean, if you have your receipt and stuff, and you ask for the same game, ... The costumer should be king, you know...

You can also contact the Customer Services Department (address is in the Fallout Tactics guide).

I dunno, man. If all of this doesn't help, try playing other games with your copy of Fallout Tactics. Play frisbee with it and enjoy the aerodynamic design of a compact disc. Put the three discs in the mixer and feed them to your dog: fun for everyone! Just be a little creative...
