Modders Going On Strike?

Fallout 4 is Skyrim with guns but that one mod for Morrowind Ashes of Apocalypse was Morrowind with guns first.

Agenda pushing by modders. This is so 'not' gonna backfire on them.

These modders really should keep their agenda pushing away from gaming as a whole. It never succeeds in the long run (since it makes them look like paranoid nutjobs) especially if it involves hiding mods from public use.

Morrowind with guns... I really don't see it.
Won't Morrowind with guns mean that most of your shots will miss until you level up the right skills?

Mods for a game that is bad at its core is waste of time.
I thought that all the mod makers with at least half brain cell has already abandoned Skyrim and FO4?

I have a couple things to say.
If find this really dumb. This is really dumb. Wow, this is super dumb. The fuck is wrong with that guy?

Some Skyrim mods are down because or reasons?
Does anyone still plays that stupid game?

I don't really care about skyrim, but I always defend that if a mod author wants to take down or hide their mods than it is their decision. It's their work so no one should be insulting the author for it.
Is it because of stupid reasons? Doesn't matter.
Also if people say this mod author only makes sucky mods then why are people so riled up about his mods not being up?

If you want the mods make it yourself you bunch of ungrateful fuckers! (not directed to NMA, directed to idiots that go around crying those mods are hidden and the author sucks because of it).

I don't even know this mod author, he might be the most terrible person around, but it's his work and his choice and people should stop being all offended he did it and just shut the fuck up :whatever:.

Tired of people using others work for free and then when they can't use it they all jump on the author. Grow up you idiots (not directed to NMA, directed to idiots that go around crying those mods are hidden and the author sucks because of it).

Yeah I am having a bad day today :irked:.

This post reeks of more butt hurt than any of the posts I read about how the mod author sucks. Now I'm inclined to agree with you but it should be acknowledged that it was taken down for an extremely dumb reason.

Doesn't matter the reason. It's his (is it a his?) work, he decides.
So if a carpenter decides to take a holiday because his wife bought a pet bunny we should criticize him? And a carpenter is being paid for his work, a modder is not.
Again, if reasons are stupid doesn't matter. It's his work, he does whatever the fuck he wants with it.
It's the same mindset as steal mods "The mod author is an idiot so I steal his mods he took down and upload for everyone to use, because he deserves it for using stupid reasons to take his mods down".

You don't agree with his reasons, then it is fine. But don't go around saying he is stupid for taking down his mods. I also don't agree with his reasons but I am not going to be calling him names because he took a stand about it. His work, his choice. If you don't like it then tough luck, make your own mods that you can use.

You make a fair point on mod authors being free to hide mods if they want. However, I do think the author is wrong to push an agenda in such a manner regardless of freedom to hide mods.

Even if the author has the right to hide mods, there has to be a better way to push an agenda that does not involve shoe-horning it like what this author did.

oh nose!

A slight improvement on an already dogshit part of skyrim is no longer available to me?

That will surely make me rethink who I'm supporting. Oh wait I'm not American. So how does this apply to me? Oh, it doesn't? Cool.

fuck that sensitive twat Apollo

I just went to the nexus forum that was linked here and now I know why the mod author took his mods down, it was because some people were bullying the mod author because he made a feature called "Diversity Day" that was just adding more people of other races around (so the game is more varied) and then people started saying stuff like:
Please don't bring in politics in gaming! I'm talking about your Diversity Day feature. Really?! We need that??! This is Skyrim, home of the Nords, it's not really supposed to be densely inhabited with different races. There is plenty of all the game's races there, but don't expect the armies to be so diversified.
And no, YOU brought it in with your ridiculous anti white mod feature. . 'Booohooo there's to many white males in SKYRIM...' Gimme a frikken break.
Never has the author said there was too much whites in the game, it had this feature just to add variety to the game (specially because many races in Skyrim ARE white humans and that feature added them as much as any other race). The author didn't bring any politics or political agenda, it was one small feature in the big Civil War mod and other people changed it into a political issue because they felt it was a "ridiculous anti white mod feature" and so they took to bullying and criticize him. I even start to think that the mod author just put all of those hashtags just to spite these people (which I don't agree with and think it is immature). I think once you push someone so much they break and the author just broke from others taking a mod feature as being against their own political agenda.

I have been reading that thread but it has more than 900 pages and I am a really slow reader, but not even once did the author ever mentioned any political agenda or stuff like "black lives matter" and other political stuff. Others just brought it in because they felt that an innocent mod feature (which i don't know but I bet could be turned off without much CK knowledge if there wasn't any option for it) was threatening their political views...

TL.DR: The mod author didn't once pushed any political agenda, others came to the author mod thread and pushed their own political agendas because of a small mod feature. Author removed mods due to being bullied and insulted and probably used all of those hashtags just to spite those who insulted him (which like i said before I consider immature and don't agree with it).

I see. I stand corrected then but like you said, the hashtag usage is probably a bad way of responding to such trolls. It makes the mod author look bad by making it seem like they're pushing some agenda at first glance.

Wait what? I mean I get it that bullying is bad and he had that right but... if saying that this feature contradicts the lore is bullying... it really does expand the definition. Hell, Risewild, if you hadn't posted the second example post I would start to wonder if there was any actual bullying.

This reminded me of @Continuum and his submarine mod:
http://www.nma-fallout.com/threads/submarine-mod.174621/
Conti created awesome art, nobody paid enough attention though so he took it down.
NMA wept aloud.
Conti brought more awesome art!
NMA rejoiced wildly.
Conti thought his art is not good enough so he took it down again.
NMA wept some more.
Conti finally created the most awesome art again!
NMA rejoiced again.
The drama!

Well I don't want through the hundreds of pages and quote the stuff, I just posted the more recent before the author pulled down the mods. Also I think most happened in PM and not public view. That was the idea I got from reading it specially because the mod author complains about some stuff that we don't see in the thread.

Guys, I would like to announce that I am now running for President of the United States.

Until I become President, I will be taking down all of my mods, and demanding people vote to me via hashtags.

It will take several changes to the US constitution, and the entire law needs to be rewritten to allow me to become president to begin with, but people are so desperate for my one mod that took literally 5 minutes to make, that they will vote for me.
