Mods/GECK will fix it. Nope.

Considering what I have read thus far in this topic, I don't see any more reason to debate or speculate on this subject. I do believe BGS will attempt to revive their paid mod blunder but this time they will most likely leave steam out of it because Valve saw the backlash and thought to themselves "Mmmm maybe this was a bad idea after all?" and squashed it to prevent their good rep from being dragged through the mud by the community they literally relied on during the companies youth.

My opinion is the amount of work is insurmountable to "adjust" this game to a enjoyable state. If a dedicated group of modders did remake the game (or what would be better is a bootleg Fallout game) that would be great, but lets revel in reality for a moment. No one has the time to remake or "fix" this game to the original fan bases desires.

To break it down for others who lack the knowledge of game design, the modders themselves would be better off making a stand alone game themselves than salvaging this.

I have a new suggestion on how to cope with this game, just throw it out. This game has more in common with C&C 4 (which if your a C&C fan know its a franchise killer)
Which literally evaporated the C&C fan base after a week from release.

We just have to adapt to the fact that BGS did the same thing with Fallout and find a new alternative that is viable to fill the void in our hearts.

Its time to progress through the stages of grief and move on with our lives.

I honestly avoid it like a plague, because it makes the game feel even more "Shoot and Shoot some more, bang and bang". Sure it is convinient, but honestly I find it immersion breaking more than anything else. Oh so you killed this guy, fine you can tell what he has just by taking a glance at his body.

It fits Fallout 4 perfectly with the amount of junk there is, the quick loot button is a must, but in games like NV, I would rather not use it.

Did you see looting systems presented in Escape from Tarkov? It's quite interesting, takes some time to fully search a body for example. Still I don't think it would work in Fallout. I mean there is no danger around so you won't get nervous when looting.

I have never seen it, I have also never played it. That said, I like how NV works most of the time, but I wish it was easier to transfer stuff, but it is the engine fault. I also think that looting should not be able to be done, if you got hit in the last 3 seconds so you just don't run in, take all the good stuff and run away.
