More Evil and Gayness

Er, no it isn't. The possibility to kill children existed because there were children in the game. It wasn't a heavily thought through move. If you put gays in the game, then, you should be able to kill them. But you shouldn't put gays in the game just so that people can kill them. That's the point.

Of course if you put them in just to kill them doesn't make sense. That's not what I'm suggesting. Children weren't there just to be killed, they were there for many other reasons. Gays can and of course should be there for other reasons besides just being killed as well.

But like everything in Fallout they would also be killable, and I was adressing that particular aspect of the subject.

That's a pretty odd assumption, because it would be more likely that people would have to work together to survive.

Maybe I'm a pessimist, but even in this modern age people are killed just for being black or gay or whatnot. I don't see how a collapse in society would somehow improve that.

Did anyone actually suggest that you should not be able to kill gays, then?

I'm not a homophobe, and i think that, especially in rpgs, you should be able to make choices like wether your character is gay or not. Or lesbian, or whatever. But glorifying it just because? It's supposed to blend in naturally, not stand out. That's retarded.

"Also, Fallout games are the only games with gay people. Don't be a PR-obsessed slave-of-a-machine: make Fallout 3 the first really non-homophobic game! Add a sexual orientation option! "

Homosexuality isn't a choice! The game should randomly decide your sexual orientation at the beginning of the game... if you are gay then Liam Neeson leaves the vault to escape the humiliation forced upon him by the intolerant 50's-esque society.

A good one. Thought, it would be interesting with GURPS flaw/advantages system.
Actually some time ago I thought about using random flaws for humans in my BG2 TC which would include sexual deviations too.
