More than 2 NPCs in your Fallout 2 party?

GoblinToe

First time out of the vault
Hi, all. I see some people talking about how they like to have 4 or 5 people parties, and I was just wondering if it's possible for me to have more than 2 NPC's in my party in Fallout 2?

I currently have Sulik and Cassedy in my party, and I just freed Vic, but when I ask him to join me he says that I don't have enough room and that he'll wait for me at Mom's diner.

Any clues?

Thanks!

Now's time to invest in the wonderful stat known as Charisma! I believe it's 1 NPC for ever 2 points in Charisma.

Yep, and if you don't want to increase your charisma, you can replace Sulik or Cassedy with Vic by talking to Sulik or Cassedy and telling them "wait here until I come back" and then asking Vic to join your party.

By the way, there's also a perk that lets you increase the number of NPC's in your party by 1.

Magnetic personality.

Also, look for the mirrored shades.

I won't tell you where, though :)

You can increase your charisma temporarily with Mentats (by a maximum of 2 points (one point for each dose, up to a maximum of 2 doses)). This allows you to get an extra party member (in addition to those you have).
They will stay as long as you want, but if you ask them to wait somewhere, you will have to use mentats again to get them to rejoin you.

Woohoo. Thanks, guys! I appreciate the info!

The Fallout series is simply amazing!

I'm not even going to ask what that "grampybone" is!!

Nope, you can only have a maximum of five NPCs, even if your perks/Charisma/drugs you've taken should let you have more.

I guess it is balanced. RPG rules of six... Does make a heaslthyu balance. Imagine if you could roll with all NPCs... Damn, talk about strained resources... Though, it be nice to have my own army!!!

Wasn't there a mod that allowed you to have all npc's at once ?

Cult of Personality, and you needed the Cult of Personality perk... but hush-hush. This is about modding. If Roshambo hears, he'll have our behinds...

All NPC's.....

Sulik with Gauss Rifle (hey, the armor mod makes all weapons available to all NPC's who can wear armor ;))
Vic with Gauss Rifle
Cassidy with Gauss Rifle
Myron with Gauss Rifle
Lenny with Gauss Rifle
Skynet with Gauss Rifle
Marcus with Pulse Rifle
Miria with Gauss Pistol
Goris, K9, Cyberdog & Dogmeat @ melee

You could just go around throwing plant spikes at enclave soldiers and let your 'army' do the rest :D
