Most Overrated Games of This Gen?

Brawl kind of seems like a fuck you to the competitive crowd though with the addition of random tripping (retarded), ridiculously low amounts of hitstun (no combos), and retarded balance (what the fuck were they thinking with Metaknight).

It is.

That's why I like it.

Brawl wasn't made for competition, it was made for crazy fun with friends.

Side Note: GTA IV's exclusive 360 expansion finally has a release date, February '09. To them I say, big whoop, start working on GTA V.

It wouldn't bother me as much if Sakurai hadn't actively attempted to screw the competitive crowd, probably some of the biggest fans of Melee you'll find. Don't get me wrong I'm involved in the Brawl competitive scene, so I don't totally despise it but Melee has much more competitive potential. And I know that Brawl and Melee weren't created for competitive play but does that mean that Sakurai had to make Brawl as non-competitive as possible? Sakurai just purposely alienated a portion of SSB's fanbase. It just bothers me...

Sure, the "plausible future nano tech" stuff was neat

Well, the idea of chemical-pumping suit is pretty much, well, retarded. After getting several doses of a drug that can stimulate you like this, you'd probably collapse or die. Human body can't stretch itself so much without consequences.

huh... i allways thought it pumped nanobots into you like a primitive deus ex sort of thing. even then a normal human's body probably couldnt keep up with the "knawing" of nanobots for long.... the bodies of the cyborgs in deus ex 1 and 2 weren't even much like normal human flesh anymore.

From what I've gathered from the trailers, it realeses some kind of stimulants into your blood system, which highers your blood pressure and fastens the flow. The strengthening suit is pretty plausible, but extreme stimulants would make your heart and\or liver collapse.

No. There are tons of games where you heal with stimulants (FO included), but Crysis isn't one of them.

And even if it were I don't see the need to shit over it specifically when every other game does the same or worse.

Really... Arguing about the plausibility of the nanosuit? That misses the point of the game entirely (sandbox action). It's not a simulation (although the guns 'feel' more authentic than most any other game I've played). The game has a few problems bigger than that in any case.

You could put Crysis up there as overrated by one reviewer (PC Gamer) - although I personally loved it and played through it twice. Other than that, the most widespread opinion is that it's half a great game, half a mediocre one, with as-yet unmatched graphics. Point being, I don't think many people rate it high enough for it to be overrated.

Ah yes, Spore. It fails because it tries to be a game for "everyone", age range from 6 to 99. It's way too repetitive and candy. Lots of wasted potential and hype.

As for Crysis, I couldn't live with the constant "SPEED" or "STRENGHT!!!1!" voice messages. I couldn't force myself to fnish the demo, combat wasn't anything new, really. And I *am* tired of FPP sandbox games.

Again, nobody's arguing his negative points regarding those games. Yes, he does have good points and those games do have things about them that suck. However, every single game in existence, including Fallout, has something negative that can be said about it. That does NOT make the games overrated. The guy seems to think that a successfull game has to be perfect, otherwise its overhyped. That's retarded and he's obviously confused about what an overhyped game is.
