Motivation

No, I don't. The lack of alienation, and the balance of political power being balanced proportionally in American society. And the gigantic amount of personal flexibility. Nah, I don't.
Seriously, what? You should try looking at how the majority of people actually lived, instead of looking at the exceptions.

Along with Literature, Oil prospection, Inventing and marketing out of your garage. Yeah, I lack historical awareness. The 50's died and we are strangling in a pit of shit here in the states.
Wait, you're talking about the '50s now? What does that have to do with industrial and agrarian societies?

None of them got any better at motivating themselves to do anything. That doesn't mean it's detrimental (though I'm pretty sure no one is more productive in a non-entertainment job when stoned)
I'm the only one who goes on house cleaning sprees when lifted?

Crap weed though.
Well obviously we sell that Mexican schwag to the tourists and keep the KB to ourselves.

50's was the height of the American industrial cycle.

I've lived in a NAU student dorm for half a year, the term 'tourist' doesn't really count anymore then.

The good stuff is 'OK', but for some real good stuff, you've got to be heading this direction. But I'll stop now, or else people will be accusing me of weed-abuse again.

People use to make a fortune by doing WHAT THEY WANTED with their bare hands and hard work.
Depends on how you look at it. A fortune is a relative thing. A norwegian researcher lived amongst the eskimos of alaska in the 1950s. What he learned there was that there was one "rich" man in the small group he lived with. He was considered the richest since he allways had a little more food than the others or that he could afford to share some extra fat meat with other people. That is the kind of riches you can look at if you work alone out in nowhere.

Fact of the matter is that Real riches(from a western point of view) you get by motivating lots of other people to do hard work for you. Sure you can work hard to make that happen, but in general you do not get rich compared with others on your own unless the people are dirt poor.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too.

I never had trouble finding good weed when I used to do that. I think Hawaiian was the best I ever tried. Completely clean high with no fatigue hangover.
