Mr Bucket may not be able to walk around freely, but surely he got some handy hands. yeah, not bad for a dumpy robot ;)

I started this painting with just some random sketches

By the way, Phomax, you wouldn't happen to have a version bigger than the 1024 one, would you? I'd like it as a background but my res is 1440x900

thanks for all the replies.

thanks.
wouldn't someone criticises me this time? crits maybe cold, harsh and depressing, but it eventually helps, you know, makes people impoving.

1024 is not accually 'Full Version', original size is about 3000x1600 px, I think this one would suffice you.

Well, yer stuff is allright, but the whole picture gives off a feeling everything in it is made out of plasteline. Light reflecting surface properties are pretty much the same everywhere. In your picture, for wood, metal, plastic and paper. The keys are a step in the right direction, but the whole light dynamics thing is a bit muffled.

Maybe experiment with some harder brushes and 'solid' color contrasts ?

I don't like very realistic style yet I did want to paint convincingly to a extent.
thanks for the advice,

Very very cool style :]

One question though.. how does he rotate his shoulder joint :p
He can't, I know it's not logical, I just forgot to fix it, I've never been a good concept designer

OK, this is the non-HDR version, and some other adjustment been implemented.
